Bearing in mind you no longer have a job to lose Clari... If nothing arrives on Monday I'd fire off a formal letter requesting immediate payment. If nothing arrives by the end of the week another letter requesting payment by a fixed date - or you'll pursue the matter through the small claims court.

I sound as though I know what I'm talking about - I don'timage - but you get the general idea. Do a bit of research to find out how you can pursue them legally for the money and then threaten them with it. Your old boss wants a good kick up the a*se.

I agree.  You need to concentrate his mind so definitely give a deadline after which you will charge interest plus costs for any further delay (post/telephone etc) and small claims court proceedings if necessary.

Right then.  Dogs have been walked and I need a shower before an early dinner as we're off to the monthly dance practice evening organised by our teacher.

Clari ... I agree - a formal letter requesting immediate payment exactly as Topbird has suggested.

Afternoon all,  Beautiful blue sky and sunny here after a rain filled afternoon.  No gardening done but did have a wonder around in between showers.  Not been here for three days, been at secondborn's and I can't believe how much things have grown.  The sweet peas have shot up by about a foot.

Sorry to hear about your eye (oh flip, I've forgotten who it was now) but hope it feels better soon.

I've read back but just can't remember what happened, so sorry if I've forgotten anything important.

Snap here Yvie - showery afternoon followed by a beautiful evening.  We are just back in from a walk to make the most of it.

Found the bedding plants I wanted for my summer pots at the GC earlier - the last two trays of blue salvias, so I was very pleased.  I'll grow them on for a couple of weeks - can't believe its summer pot planting time again already image........along with the nightly watering routine image.  I like it really - nice to be out there after work.

Dad is doing well thanks - bit sore, but cheerfulimage

Glad to hear your dad's cheerful Chicky ... that's so important image

I've had a lovely time in the garden today, working on the new Sunny Corner, accompanied by and anxious pair of robins and their fledglings ... the parents were grabbing little worms and grubs as soon as my fork turned the soil over.  We've had threatening skies this evening, but the showers haven't been heavy and now the bats are out and about.

    It's been hailing here. HAILING!!

ALSO I learnt a fun fact tonight. Apparently those of us in the South Yorkshire area shouldn't expect it to get properly dark at night until late July.

Just read back and realised I haven't posted today. Busy day in the veg garden, but it rained on and off. I got rather wet collecting manure for the GH tomatoes. Toms are all planting out in the GH, various seeds sown, a lot of weeding done, more sweet peas planted out, broccoli planted out.

Thank you Runnybeak, good to hear from you. This time of year is so busy and we've been away and Internet has played up, I just don't have time to post on two chat threads at the moment and this was the one I started with. John/Jean is fine but asleep most of the time I went to see him. Son says I must call him John and speak in English.

Ouch, Lilly P, that sounds soo painful, hope it doesn't take too long to clear up.

    Hi all.

Not been on today, as canvassing again and then trying to catch up on my studying.

Need a few days in the garden now, tomorrow time to get the Salvias out of the greenhouse and decide on their positions, always my favourite occupation at this time.

Find I reposition everything 5 or 6 times before planting and then often move them again.

Becomes a pain when I am doing it with large Cannas and Dahlias.

Hope all are well, not read back to see what you are all up to.

I've only now turned the iPad on, so Punkdoc's message came up too late to respond to.  I've woken to a cool sunny day again - no complaints about that. I'll be outside again in the garden still changing things over for winter conditions.

Sleep well everyone and I hope Lilyp's eye eases soon.
