I posted on the April thread late this morning, just seen that Dove had passed by and told me I was lost! So here is this morning's post again:
Morning all.
We are now in our cottage in Norfolk. The drive up France on Saturday was OK but quite a lot of traffic until we were in the north. Stayed a night in Boulogne by the old town which was walled and lovely. Had a good dinner in a cosy restaurant. Sea was calm and I'd bought tickets for the lounge so comfortable and brekkies and glass of bubbly were included. Bubbly did feel a bit weird for brekkies! Then yesterday we drove here but going west of London as we made a detour to see a friend in hospital. Ended up having dinner in a restaurant with her husband so we arrived here very late.
Have just read back - 3 days worth. Too much to comment on! Love Hosta's ducklings.
Off to Tesco's for supplies. Hope they are open, if it were France they would probably be shut!
Now: We went to Tesco, then the GC where I had fun buying rockery plants for the stony bank behind the patio wall and 3 Osteospermums for the front bed. I planted one there that did brilliantly last year but it didn't survive the winter. Hadn't really expected it to.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Back from a wonderful weekend in Holland. Keukenhof was amazing, amd cycling on the incredible Dutch cycle ways was a joy - took in the beach, sand dunes, tulip fiel, dykes and windmills on our 50 mile round trip. Takes too long to upload photos on here these days, so here is s a mini taster
Evening all! Had a crazily busy day in my garden, getting rid of all the dead weeds and grass ready to start over. Then over to my mum's to collect the rest of my plants from there. I'm finally eating my tea then I've got to go fetch all the plants out of my car ??. Luckily, Elijah's at his dad's!
Woooohooo. May! One month closer to Gardeners' World Live ????

Darn and blast, it's exactly what I want for my builders rubble bank but won't survive it.
