    Evening all.

Just come in from work to have 2 messages on machine from SSE Complaints team. Nice of them , but I did tell them I was off to work and was told they'd call "in the morning"

    Hey ho.

    Something to eat now.

    Nighty night.

Par for the course Hosta ........ have a good evening image

Wonder how Clari's first day went ........ hope she enjoyed it image

All my tomatoes and courgettes are tucked into the little greenhouse ... the doors are wedged ajar and the top is also propped open quite a bit .......... the seedlings that have been hardened off but are small enough to be damaged by heavy rain are on the terrace table surrounded by bricks supporting a big sheet of firm plastic weighted down so the wind can't lift it.  I've put canes and string around the block of broad beans as they're in full bloom and have lots of little pods forming ... I don't want them getting bashed about by gusty wind and rain.

Not a lot else I can do to prepare for the promised deluge .......... what's the betting that we get not a lot more than a bit of drizzle  image

Just sitting here on the sofa with my feet up now, watching the Long-eared bats swooping around in front of the house ... it's a lovely time of year image

Hello, we arrived home this afternoon, but Internet has been off, just come back. Can't believe how much everything has grown, apart from the trees and the fig damaged when it frosted. Dahlias are recovering. Roses are out, early. OH has already mown the lawns. So much to do.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Glad you're home safely.   When do you get to meet Jean?    Have your new plants survived the journey OK?
