A happy day spreading muck in the park, then planting out runner beans, weeding, potting on etc in my own garden. OH was out all day so there was nobody to complain I'd forgotten to get any lunch...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
How exciting Busy. Is this Angoulême or Poitiers? I've only been to Le Terminus in Angoulême and it was delish. Blow by blow account please. Possum went to her first Michelin starred restaurant aged 6 weeks and the maitre d took her for a tour of the kitchen while I ate my main course in peace. Every time a course arrived Possum wanted fussing!
I have got all the furniture scrubbed and 2 bits fed. The others needed anither go with produit. I even fed the handles of my fork and spade while I was on after giving them a good scrub with wire wool. They won't know what's hit them! OH has "hung" my retractable hose reel and the insect house and cut the grass while I was messing with furniture and giving the second wisteria a good haircut.
We did walkies together before dinner and I was thrilled to see my first daylight fox, a hare and several colonies of wild orchids and some harebells in the hedgerows amongst the toad flax, white campion and dog roses, deep pink clover and the occasional late flowering asphodels.
Good day. i hope yours was too.

Does anyone know why sparrows shred my chard? I noticed the leaves were all serrated and bits were on the floor all around. Then I saw the little devils ripping bits off and chucking them all around. They couldn't have been after insects as there weren't any. The same thing happens with my primroses early in the year. Any ideas?
Good evening (know it's late - but what do you say as a greeting at night? Good night sounds like goodbye...). Just going to read back and see what's been occurring - hope all ailments are behaving and everyone has had a good day.
Just done a slug-run by torch light... 20 odd on the patio so scooped them up to deposit at end of garden, by the branch and log pile, and saw hundreds (well dozens) on the lawn! I haven't seen the hedgehogs yet but am hoping they like to hang out by the wood pile as there is a feast waiting.
Good morning everyone. I hope the problems have been sorted as I see no-one else has been able to get here either.
Bright and sunny but not too hot yet so I'm back on furniture parade. OH has disappeared to play golf somewhere north of here - seniors inter club competition - so we'll meet at dance class later on. Dogs have been walked. Bonzo and Cosmos have been groomed. All is well.
I hope all is well with you too.
