Sunny here so we're about to go for a slow walk. OH is desperate to get out, but still coughing so we need to take it gently. Hopefully we'll find some bluebells out.
Busy day yesterday, rehearsing for, and then singing in, a world premiere of a new oratorio about Herakles. Now I can't get the (not always tuneful) music out of my head... it was an interesting experience though.
Right. Time to be off... hopefully will be able to look at the garden this afternoon and maybe even cut the grass...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I just heard the news about the famous mountain climber dying on Everest. Couldn't remember his name - they said it too quickly on the TV. I feel he might have been Scottish by his voice, but not sure.
Thanks Pat - it was a lovely bracing walk, a bit misty and only a few bluebells out yet, but plenty of fresh air (well, wind, actually) to blow the cobwebs away. And sheep and lambs for entertainment.
How lovely to have goslings and ducklings, Hosta!

I think he was Swiss Pat, but, as is so often the case, I might be wrong.
Thanks Hosta. They never give you enough info or time to absorb it all. You're probably right though.
No , not wrong Hosta Ueli Steck was Swiss, an experienced climber

Very sad .......... apparently he took a lot more risks than most climbers, aiming to climb faster and without oxygen ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
