Ooh - meant to say Dove - she might want to look at Sealskinz socks for wet weather. Lots of walkers use them. If the boots get wet (which they often do) the socks keep your feet dry, hence the name! image

    Thanks Fairy ... bookmarked image

OH has unloaded 3 bags of compost and 3 bags of manure from the car boot for me as well as going down the street and voting ... I've washed up and tidied away ... now flollopped again image

Have a lovely restful evening everyone image

Well, I didn't end up pricking out the seedlings today; the very strong SE wind bent the metal pole supporting the seed feeder and broke the raspberry support structure, so I've been doing running repairs.  Our regular strong wind is SW, like most of the country, but a SE wind does more damage because it gets funnelled along the valley.

On the plus side, it dried the washing beautifully...  image

Very cold wind here too Liri. It got to about 13 or 14 degrees today, but with that wind....image

    Washing well dried too!

You can get gloves too Dove - but they may not be so useful - bit bulky for gardening probably.

I brought home a load of manure yesterday. It's for the front garden but I've had to soak the bed under the front window - it's very dry. Incredible!

Off to put my feet up too. image

Windy here too from late afternoon but not as strong as you had Liri.

Today is the only day I haven't had a washing out. I tend to go a bit mad on the washing when there is sun and a breeze but, on the plus side, all the lightweight jackets are now cleanimage

No sowing after all but I did get the sewing done.  Note to self - no more voile!  It moves.

Had to water all my treasures too as the northerly wind was so strong and very drying.   Tomorrow we're on a mission to buy water butts.

Is it easy to get a postal vote, LilyP?  We'll be on holiday when the general election is on, so need to apply.  image

OH will be home soon.  He's been at the football, watching his team win a play-off match, so he should be happy.  They are hoping for promotion to the Championship...
