    Feel better soon Liri.

I've just been on bedtime pee patrols in the garden with the hound and I realised I can hear both a pair of tawny owls singing away in the not too distance but also the chattering of the many small birds that reside in my hedges.

I don't think I've ever noticed the day and night shift collide so clearly before, certainly not so distinctly.

I read somewhere that in South Yorkshire we'd not see nightfall (I.e. proper darkness) til July now but instead get twilight so hopefully I can get out my blanket and lay on the lawn some more and listen to two different worlds collide.

Hope you get a decent sleep Liri, and feel a bit more lively tomorrow. There's been a viral thing going round here - varying from your symptoms, to sicky, headachy stuff.

Lovely froggy pic Clari. End of May/early June is a nice time here as you get the longest days, and often some half decent weather to be outside in that 'not quite darkness' period you're describing - before the next day starts a few hours later!   image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Obelixx, I bought Betty Corning in Paradise Park GC in Newhaven, East Sussex.

I hope you feel better soon, Liri.

I've been busy in the garden today, planted out some plants I bought in England and prepared more pots for planting, weeded. Loads more to do.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Lovely frog photo and of course Reggie laying there, Clari.

I hope you feel better soon Liri.

We're fogged-in here this morning.  Can't see much through the wind. I'll be leaving any outside work until it lifts.

    Sleep well everyone.

And there was my thinking you were all excited for Tuesday because it is my birthday Chicky!

Despite being tired all afternoon I couldn't really settle until gone midnight. This meant at least I could send a good morning message to my partner who'd have been just waking up. Thank goodness he installed a duel clock on my phone so I could see the different time zones.

Reggie and I are off work today. I will be gathering vital supplies for scouts tonight (I'm going to have them cooking on an open fire) but I need to think of a few more interesting things than orange chocolate cake and bananas (going for desserts as we've not warned them not to have supper before they come).

Til the school / work rush has departed however we will be mostly drinking tea and having cuddles on the bed.

Have a great day everyone; it's already looking like it'll be a hot one!
