    Chicky - enjoy image

And perhapsyou can tell us ... if we switch suppliers ... for instance, from Scottish Power to Eon, and we already have a Scottish Power smart meter, will it be of any use or will we have to have an Eon smart meter fitted?

Dove, I had a smart meter fitted by OVO but have since switched and the new supplier can't read it so back to doing manual reading.

    That must be a relief!

We are just in from walkies in a mostly dry patch between showers.  Tipped it down fo rthe last couple of mins tho.   Back to teh sewing then.

OH is reading destructions for the polytunnel which, he says, requires hi  to dig a trench o bury the ends of the cover.........  And did I know it had a door at either end?  Yes.  ordered deliberately for ventilation.  Sometimes I do wonder which ear all this info escapes thru or does it never enter in the first place?

At least he's reading the instructions, Obelixx... not a common trait in certain males of my acquaintance.  image

Afternoon everyone!  We've had workmen too, changing the gutters and downpipes and, hopefully, arranging that there will be less rainwater to find its way into the kitchen.  Now I can spend an hour taming the spiraea, which has got a bit shapeless in spite of regular pruning after flowering.

Glad you've got your loo sorted, Dove.  image

    See original post

Is it still at the racecourse Joyce? Rain will be the least of their worries. Snow and hail weren't uncommon.... image

They came to get the last of their rosettes the other day. It used to be at the end of April - first of all the agricultural shows - and on the Wednesday and Thursday. It was the first of the Wembley (Royal International ) qualifiers too, so lots of the English ponies were up for it.

I think cake is a legal requirement after doing stairs regularly Dove. Not to mention as compensation for the 'inconvenience' of the situation. Any more loo based jokes we can come up with? image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
