Blimey Dove - all those flower spikes! Mine have got some foliage and that's about it.

LG - that's unforgiveable. I'm sick of hearing about people being treated like s***. Camp out in reception with a banner until they give you your dosh. And still send the letter  image

I can't do crowds of any kind now. I was struggling in the theatre the other night - even with an 'end' seat. image

Been raining a fair bit here - I was concerned about his Lordship but he's been fine. I don't think I can take the stress. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I'm another one who'd suggest Hampton Court over Chelsea. Much more of a nice friendly "village fete" feel about it ,and Sunday has the bonus of a nice " last day term " feel too.

Chelsea , for me , has been spoiled by the crowds and that section who go because they feel they need to . The same sort of folk who go to Wimbledon, Henley , Glyndebourne and the like without actually wanting to see what's going on.

Hampton Court for me ,every time. ( unless someone wants to take me to the Monday night Gala at Chelsea?? )

    Devon.

LG ... are you a union member?   If so get them to jump up and down on the Payroll Dept with their Doc Martins on image

Front lawn mowed and edged image  Needs a going over with the electric rake to get the moss out since I put some Weed & Feed on, but 'sufficient  unto the day ...' and all that ...   and anyway I need OH's muscle to change from the scarifier fitment to the rake, and he's in the middle of doing something in the studio ......

I've ordered the pergola ... delivery was included in that price, so I'm pleased.  I phoned 'cos I wanted to know a couple of things about it ... ended up getting a young chap on his first day there and he was a bit anxious about possibly giving me the wrong info and doing the card payment, so he wrote my queries down and rang me back with the answers, and had his manager by his side when he did the card payment ............ all sorted!  image  He said he's enjoying his first day at work. image

Delivery should be 10 - 15 working days ........ yippee ....... that gives me time to change my mind several times about which clems to get image

Afternoon all. 22'C and rising so I've had to bring the hound inside to cool off otherwise I think he'd start to cook.

I've started a little project reusing some things I used to use for work. The plastic tubs can be rotated as required to enable harvests of cut again plants to rest. It's sat in the greenhouse right now but in the summer can sit by the kitchen door.

The bottom tray shows you the lids that have a hole in. I'm hoping they might have a propagator effect in the cooler months.

The small pots in the middle are for coastal errosion! Because the trays are slanted I water them through the pot which stops the soil moving. To ensure it's watered evenly I can rotate them as required. That will help ensure thry all get plenty of light / shade too.

    Well that's the theory anyway!

Have had an email saying they'll pay me at the end of June and not acknowledging or addressing the fact that I don't think I should have to wait until then because 1. I did everything required to be paid in April, and 2. They told me the same in April - that I'd be paid in May. I have mentioned the word 'tribunal'. I am a union member, or rather I was until I left work. Payroll is contracted out and in northern Scotland, my employers in central London, and no phone numbers or addresses will be given out. I have some names, but I had to push hard for them. It's a paltry amount of money, I can't understand how it's worth their time and effort to avoid sorting this out. Sorry for going on about it.

    Did you get paid, Clari?

That's disgusting LG. I'd be throwing emails off to anyone who would listen; MPs and press included. It may not be for millions but that doesnt ignore the fact that they have broken the terms of your (legally binding) contract.
