Not read back yet as the 'pooter has been updating. Won't be able to find anything then....
Another sunny day here, although the garage roof across from me is very wet, so I don't know if there's been a shower or two, or another frost. We certainly had a little one the night before. Rain coming for the weekend. Can't remember the last time we had any. Apparently th deriest April in Scotland on record. Utterly bizarre! Makes the bogs easier to cross on the walks though
One of the girls who normally works with us has been working in the yard for the last six weeks Wonks -think she found it hard going as well !
Better go and organise myself for another day of 'fun'.....
Have a good day everyone
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
It sounds strange that our weather patterns are almost identical. We haven't had rain (again) for weeks. Mid April, I think, and then it was only a drizzle.
Wonky tells me that she's able to pace herself at work, as the Estate Manager now gives her a list of jobs to be done in the next few days and trusts her to get on with them, and has also told her to spend a couple of hours at one type of job then a couple at another so she's not using the same muscles etc all the time e.g. Wonky has been given the job of training the climbing roses in the walled garden properly, rather than as they are at the moment, shooting upwards like a rocket, but as a lot of the time her arms are above her head when she's doing that, she's been told to alternate it with pricking out in the greenhouse, or weeding or mowing on the ride-on
I've just put the sprinkler on the broad beans ............. the pods are growing and need moisture ... can't wait for the rain that may come tomorrow.

Dove - Sounds like the estate manager is a sensible person. Good advice for we amateurs too to change positions and tasks. Agree about jacarandas.
OH has just left to play gold about an hour away. It is still tipping down but each to their own. The locals reckon he plays well in the rain cos he's used to it, being British and with all that extra practice in Belgium.
I need more coffee.

Amberspy ... four days off sounds good
(but what would I know, since I retired I've been busier than ever) .
Obelixx - I've suggested to the Sydney gardener that it's not a suitable tree for a container, but s/he disagrees http://www.gardenersworld.com/forum/tools-and-techniques/transplanting-a-mature-jacaranda---help-needed/996857.html#latest

A A Milne
Morning all
Just up and on first cuppa.
The hose will need to come out as the rain is only forecast for Saturday morning. I was right on that one Fairy.
Clari, have you any time off before starting your new job?
Wonky, it's good to have some structure in your job. Makes life easier
