I stood in the conservatory and it was all around . N S E and W. Hugely impressive. I could walk from one end of the house to the other as the flashes were so frequent.
Morning all - got back to sleep for a couple of hours thankfully
Lovely to see you Bushman. We were all hoping you were ok. Have you still got that walk in your sights?
Hope you're not too bad today Dove. Just stick to coffee - no alcoholic beverages today. Can't have you tripping over something else....
Must have been spectacular Hosta. I love a good thunderplump, as my mum used to call it. I'm wondering if we might miss it all today, but we could do with it to clear the air. It was still 18 degrees when I got back last night. There's a warning about what to do on hills in thunder and lightning. I can think of a better idea- don't go!
Was up on The Brack, Joyce. Got the views I missed when I was there recently. Stunning. I've been sorting the photos, so I'll post some later. Took loads
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
That's the problem Fairy. I didn't trip ... Just my unstable hyperflexive knee just dropped me on the spot as I changed direction. Imagine one of your legs suddenly dematerialising ... Flat on your face ...

About to start house calls Dove, so if you have cake, I will be there.
Fairy, I once got caught on top of a hill in the most amazing thunder and lightning, it was terrifying. I was knocked off my feet once and was getting regular small shocks. At least I remembered to put my poles away and got a few hundred feet down from the summit, so at least the lightning was striking above me.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
They tell you to put on waterproofs doc (if not already wearing them!) and sit in the open with your knees hunched up and putting your hands round them, not on the ground. I'm not going to attempt anything if I can avoid it though!

Pdoc. I'll get OH to bring a Norfolk Apple cake back with him ... He'll be home very soon :-). Afraid I won't be baking for a bit but the ones at the farm shop are scrummy.
Fairy I've got a big strap on knee support , but I've not felt the need to use it since having loads of physio, taking up tennis and being more active since retiring ... OH has taken it out of the drawer ... Looks like I'll be wearing it again sooN. At the moment I'm having to rest until Tuesday when I go to the fracture clinic.

I meant fantastic about the lightening, not about you going to work

Dove - do you want a loan of me knee braces?
How long have you got to have 'bed rest' as it were?
