Much too sunny and hot for parsley and chervil. I have parsley in a trough in the shade and will do the same for chervil. Needs to be a hot and sunny herb.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Obelixx do you like French Sorrel. It gives a nice sour flavour. i also have both onion chives and garlic chives - the flowers are nice to eat as well. Have you space for a Rosemary? Maybe too big for that spot.
Chervil self seeds in my garden everywhere . I also have a Lovage, but it goes to sleep in winter and comes back in spring. I have a sweet Bay in a small pot which seems quite happy. Tough as anything.
We have 2 huge bays in the garden already which is great because I never managed to keep one thru winter in Belgium, indoors or out. I don't really use sorrel but see that a red veined one has seeded in one of the pots I brought so that's a possibility if it can cope with sun.
There's already a rosemary in the herb bed Pat. It was in a big pot I brought with me along with the green sage and an oregano - all with root balls too big to stuff under the membrane so occupying 3 of the triangles.
Cosmos has chosen today to go and sunbathe.so i'd better go and put some screen on his ears. This could be interesting but our vet warned me about white cats and skin cancer from burned ears. Don't want him losing his ears.

Currently sitting by window and thinking of all the things I could be doing if it wasn't raining so heavily. The New Zealand Flax have sprouted large flower spikes! They haven't opened yet - and they didn't flower the last two years so something about the 'conditions' must have made it so. I can see the tall Aliums have flopped a bit so when I have a window of opportunity, I will attend to those and check on the sweet peas I planted on Sunday.
Meanwhile... I have the afternoon off so I'm thinking cake...

Coriander?
Ah ............ I was thinking of sorrel too, but that won't like it hot either.
Greek basil? Summer savory?

Snap Dove, re thevSorrel. Something seemed to slow down the site, sorry.
