Hosta - I'm with you on that. Apparently it's due to that well known marvel of journalism - The Sun. They reported him dead. Ah - where would we be without them eh?
Believe it or not - we had another Independent phoning for rosettes this morning at 9am. You couldn't make it up
Actually he was very nice - his father had died so he was all of a flutter. You'd think they'd be organised a week or two earlier at least though
Great to see the goldfinches - not seen them since they made a fleeting visit a while ago. Hope they keep coming now that they've found the restaurant. Sunflower hearts - as many people here have mentioned.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I've always been a sort of Republican (as opposed to a Monarchist - not the American political sort) ......... however, given the recent results of democracry around the globe, I think I'm veering more towards a benign global dictatorship .......... as long as I can be the dictator
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Buckingham Palace actually is a tied house, we the nation it not the Queen. Therefore we should maintain it. She does own Windsor, Sandringham and Balmoral.
Flollopped on the sofa with a glass of something both of us stuffed with homemade chicken, ham and leek pie.
I've heard from Wonky that she's had a lovely day pricking out and potting on in the lovely warm greenhouse, and having tractor driving practice ... that bit wasn't in the greenhouse

Move them to Windsor and Buck house Museum / Gallery could be a FAB tourist attraction 365 days a year.
OK then. How much rent to charge for living there?
Clarence House, Kensington Palace et al.
We would still have to pay repair Buckingham Palace Hosta! I don't suppose either the Queen or Prince Philip get a state pension.

Muddy fork, I'd be happy for taxpayers to pay for repair once the current lodgers have moved out.
Just think, it could be London's answer to St. Petersburg's Hermitage.
