Good luck Clari & hope the ailments heal soon Dove, Wonky and Pat.

We had a bit of light rain yesterday but it just washed a bit of dust off the leaves - didn't touch the soil which is still bone dry.image

Going to be mid 20's and humid this afternoon so need to do any heavy jobs this morning. OH wants to go out for lunch so best get a wriggle on.

    Good morning all.

Still raining here, and the hilltops are invisible... but the valley is beautifully green.  image  And the scent of warm, damp flowers as I walked home at 10pm yesterday was amazing.

Glad the ear is improving, Dove.  Wonky, take care!  Protective gear is a very good idea...

Will they notice your shiny shoes, Clari?  Hope your first day goes well.

    Morning all,

    Good luck Clari

Wonky, hubby scratched his eye on a christmas tree once.  Had to wear a patch for a while it was the only way to stop it watering.  Hope it heals soon.

Glad the ear is getting there Dove, do you think it was a bite of some kind?

Pot hope your shoulder improves, mum swear's by something called Dog Oil when her shoulder/neck is playing up.  No idea what it is, but it always makes me laugh when she mentions it.

No real plans for today, too dismal to garden.  I've done a bit of necessary h*******k (kitchen floor was a health hazard)image.  Think my bestie might pop in for a cuppa and I'm off to Secondborn's late afternoon for a 3 day stint on nanna duty.

Can't wonder off as I'm expecting a delivery from M&S.

Lost a filling so it might mean a visit to the dentistimage

23C here already!!! image  If it carries on like this I'll have to hunt in the wardrobe and find a kaftan.

Don't think it was a bite ... I get a bit of dry skin/irritation from time to time and I probably rubbed my ear with mucky fingers after spreading compost/manure or something ... duh!  It's a dangerous lark this gardening stuff image

Hoping all is well with those who have 'stuff' going on with families etc ........ life don't get any easier image

Did anyone hear 'The Life Scientific' this morning on R4 ........ flippin' fascinating - how plants decide what to do .... http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08q5wxx

    Good morning all.

I hope Dove and WW also Pat are feeling better.

The latest 'diet' is all about  keeping our gut bacteria healthy and one piece of advice was to be a gardener. I suppose we all pick up plenty of bugs while gardening.

I suppose we should all ensure our tetanus jabs are up to date when dealing with manure etc. as perhaps PunkDoc would advise us to do.

Dove, I'll have some of your warm weather please. Drizzle and windy here.

    Glad your ear is improving.

Pat, don't be doing heavy lifting or you will exacerbate the pain in your shoulder.

Hope Hosta gets to the root of leccie problem

Hello everyone.  Hot here and still climbing.  26C so far.

Seem to be a lot of minor injuries and ailments so I hope everyone heals well and takes the time to let healing happen so they don't get worse.  Jabs all up to date here too.

Busy - those buffets are great.  I never seemed to get past going back for all the lovely fish and shellfish at the smorgasbord end and it's a great way to keep OH's tum so busy it doesn't notice the swell.   The only better way is a full English on board.

Any cooks out there?  I planted up my herb garden yesterday - rosemary, 2 sages, 2 oreganos, lemon thyme, winter savoury and fennel.  4 squares and 1 triangle left.   Mint and basil and coriander will need more moisture and maybe some shade so will be planted elsewhere.   Any suggestions?  I'm thinking of dill and different thymes - if I can find them.   I also have some white chives that could fill a triangle on their own or round the rosemary.

Chipped bark will cover the fabric and I have more stones to finish the square edges.

Stay safe, whatever you're up to today and good luck Clari.
