Clari - it makes me really angry when people are treated like this. Do they have a Facebook page? I believe that's quite effective for naming and shaming....
Shorts. Shorts!! Have you turned into our postman, Wonks?
Chciky - I never hear them round here, but they're often in and around the lower slopes of the hills round Arrochar. Unless they've become very good at disguising themselves - that ptarmigan I saw last week definitely was a ptarmigan.....
Dry here, but not much cop for hills unless I travel a long way so I'm giving myself a day off and catching up. Haven't been myself the last few days either, so perhaps not a bad idea. Need compost to get the sweet peas all planted out in pots. I ran out last week. Garden's looking quite vigorous. Hard to believe it's almost June though. Where is the time going?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
OH has measured and pegged out the site for the pergola ... we were worried that the old tree roots might be in the wrong places for the posts, but OH has hammered in trial pegs and all is well - I shall order the pergola
It will back onto a brick wall and we'll put a wooden garden seat underneath so it's more of an 'arbour' - clematis are being chosen ....
I've been sitting out there for ages watching the robins and their fledglings, and being sung very loudly at by chaffinches, goldfinches and blackbirds
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
The great and blue tits have been raiding the feeders here. Lovely to see the, I'm hoping Mr and Mrs Sparrow bring their littlies into the garden sometime. They've been very busy.
I spoke too soon - it's ferdiddling down, so having a read back on here, and looking at nurseries online...
Lovely pic pat. Very unusual look with that edging. We had a clear blue sky the other day with a fantastic set of clouds which looked liked they'd been sculpted from solid marshmallow. Should have taken a pic - but I didn't

Wonky; I thought about shirts til I saw the nettles around the back of the shed. I also thought about topless (With my industrial sports bra covering way more than any bikini and ahem why are you looking into my garden anyway attitude) but thought I'd best not; can't be putting anyone off their dinner now can we.
7 wheelbarrow loads of soil moved from one end of the garden to the other and my phone just pinged to tell me I wasn't being active enough; how rude! I'm digging up all of the slate around the pond to replace with soil and eventually grass with carefully choosen plants dug all theatrically like to create a more German Shepherd dainty feet friendly (he has cut his paws tearing through the slate like his bum was on fire while playing) more wildlife friendly area.
Trouble is my helper keeping digging up the soil from the wrong end of the garden
I'm quite happy to put people off their dinner Clari - serves 'em right for looking!
Was it that viticella one Richard had Dove? I keep looking at clems - found a few more Iliked yesterday - and I know I shouldn't. It's a disease really...

Morning chicky! I've got shorts on, summer must be here!
Joyce I've never needed to exercise, life is hard enough work, especially gardening!
Mowed the grass, had a tidy, outdoor jobs first as oh is still sleeping after not going to bed until five!
