Just what I was going to say - amazing photo, Pat! Reminds me of a volcano.

Morning all. Church, then gardening all day. It's sunny, should stay like that, hopefully.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Thanks ladies. It's already dark out there and I'm sitting comfortably inside with the wood heater going.image Best place for me when Hubby is cooking dinner.image

Clarington... an employment tribunal is the way to go for a wages ( or lack of) problem.

Morning all, afternoon Pat, wow that picture is amazing!

Morning Dove, let's see this pergola then!?! image

Morning BusyL, hope you enjoyed meeting your new grandson, I'm sure he will be a very useful garden helper in a few years! image

Hope everyone is well rested and full of energy for another sunny day in the garden!image

Potted on 100 verbina yesterday, got given a selection of hellebores from a friend, need to find homes for some of them and give the rest on to any takers. Just a pottering day today, mow the lawn, then in to cook a turkey breast joint dug out of the freezer from Easter, should provide dinner and sandwiches for a while! Fresh asparagus from work with hollandaise sauce, grilled vine tomatoes, chestnut mushrooms, steak and new potatoes last night....mmmmm image

Lilyp, hope your eye is healing and less sore x

Have a lovely day with lovely weather everyone!

Morning all! Enjoy your dinner Pat.

Mentioning food: thanks to my scout training I will be able to provide us all with quite the three course feast over an open fire pit. I enjoyed it so much yesterday that I'm now having to replan the garden design to incorporate somewhere that I can BURN THINGS. I think I have squeezed in space.

Reggie had an unsettled night; he always does when his master isn't here but by good fortune managed to time his 03:00 bark at the world session perfectly so that I was able to respond to a text saying OH had landed safely moment's after he sent it. Brownie points for me for making it look like I had woken up especially me thinks ;)

Not that brownie points work in this house!

We're now enjoying a very lazy tea in bed before hopefully spending the day pottering in the garden. Unless it starts to rain; in which case I have many GW to catch up on.

    Have a great day everyone.

Thanks Fidget. I am not holding my breath for Monday's post so it's good to have this information handy.

Problem with the tribunal system is that they've now introduced quite hefty fees

    https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/work/problems-at-work/employment-tribunals-from-29-july-2013/what-will-it-cost-to-make-a-claim-to-an-employment-tribunal/employment-tribunals-how-much-will-it-cost-to-make-a-claim/

However, if you're on a low income you may not have to pay the whole amount.  If you win your claim your (ex) employer may be ordered to repay your fees.

Not sure about the flat-pack pergola yet Wonky ..... OH is going to study it and make sure the timber will be sturdy enough to cope with heavyweight wood pigeons landing on it! image  If he OKs it then it works out about the same cost as buying the timber and building it ourselves 'cos it's on special offer! image

Sounds promising Dove! image not sure what kind of weight baring tests he will come up with but I'm sure they will be inventive! I've found that my pergola doubles as a pull up bar and I'm able to do two pull ups! Not a lot but I was impressed considering I didn't think I'd be able to do any!
