    Thanks Hosta.

Liri - good to see you popping in but do dodge that cloud.   How's the painting coming along?

Have just watched the Hairy Bikers doing duck - dreadful jokes - and have a yen to go and buy some Aylesbury ducks to save the breed.   Bit impractical with our two hounds tho but I hope someone keeps them going.   James Martin has featured that chap too.

Yes Joyce.  It was gorgeous this August and will look all the better next year, I hope, when its setting has been improved.

Yvie - Mabel is clearly a treasure.

Yvie, you will have to teach her the standard Yorkshire response... "HOW MUCH?" accompanied by head shaking. It seems to have spread down into Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire too. My sister would give Verdun a run for his money. She figures all prices are a starting point for negotiation.

Nice rock Hosta. A few acers and you could have a Japanese style garden.

That's a good job on that bed, Obelixx. Albizzias are lovely, I have one but it's in the wrong place among other trees, over 20 years old now, also the beigey pink. I prefer the brighter pink.

    Mabel sounds adorable and funny.image

I hope Liri didn't get rained on.

I'd love an Albiziia  but I am not sure it would do well here, a bit too tender i think.

  • Evening all,

Enjoyed reading back, too much to comment on. image

Settled down now after a long day shopping for winter clothes (managed to find some good bargains too), all ready for SCD, I know it's ridiculous but I really love the programme. image image

    Catch you all later. image

I'm off to watch Strictly too. Unfortunately I didn't get supper in the oven early enough so I'll have to record some of it while I dish up.
