I'm not ready for it. Was it Stevie who mentioned a trip to meadow hell for Christ.... nope can't bring myself to say it. I'm not prepared to be thinking of festive events yet.

    More tea required.

Hi all. It's good to get a nice clear thread. Have a good day.

    Hi all.

Sat in front of computer, very strong coffee in hand, staring into my light box. Sleep completely b######d at the moment.

Am going to try and make use of the last warm day, to divide and move a few plants.

Still enjoying OH being at home, nice to have the company, but she does interfere with my normal routine.

  • Thanks Clari image  Good morning all image And you too Pat image

Im still in bed with my second coffee. Our morning has already been enlivened by a contra temps between a GSD who is usually walked past here every morning in a very sedate manner and next doors youngest and very 'spikey' tabby cat. We're not used to barking, growling, hissing and spitting. I can only think that Pippin- cat had said something very disrespectful to the usually dignified dog. image

    Morning all.

Punkdoc,I empathise, both on sleep and having OH at home. Hubby is on his last full week "Up Country" then he's got 2 days next week and that's it, he's home full time. An endless list of questions: What do you want for breakfast? what time shall we stop for lunch? and , my particular favourite: " what time are you planning on going to bed" I never "plan" when I'm going to bed.

Another dry , sunny day with the most wonderful mist down in the valley.

Morning all. I've just been catching up in bed in a B&B in York. Soon going to have a full english, but not sure I can manage it. Usually have a piece of toast, half Marmite, half marmalade.

Can't chat, OH wants his iPad back!

Morning all - pinching, punching white rabbits and all that. image

Empathise with the OH at home thread. But you are quite fortunate Hosta - at least your OH asks what you would like for breakfast, lunch etc. Mine asks me what we are having. Even though he does some cooking I still have to plan all the meals. And lunch has to be at 1pm - he gets tetchy if I'm not ready 'on time'.

When he's away breakfast might be at 10, lunch at 3pm and dinner at 8pm. My body clock works 2hrs later than his..

Nice having him around though - Don't have to do any washing up for one thing... Only joking - I would much, much rather have him at home than awayimage

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Re: light box.

It is more a preventative thing, reducing the low mood which usually starts about now.

I was very sceptical about its value, but after 10 years or so, it really does seem to help. There is also fairly good evidence that they do work.
