The local radio has just announced a ban on caravans on the roads in this region. Seems sensible to me as it's blowing a hooly again. We must have managed doggy walkies in the best 2 hour period of the day - dry and slightly sunny - but seriously miserable now.
OH says he likes the sound of the wind howling in the eaves and down the chimney but it's a different key and tone form our old house and I find it quite intrusive. At least Rasta no longer thinks it's a bird in the fireplace.
Pusscat preferred to stay indoors except for brief sorties. She was very good at catchig meeces in the attic tho. They'd climb up there for winter. Our other cats caught mice, field voles, moles, rabbits and one rounded up a group of 6 pheasants and had them all dancing up and down on one spot like the "where-the-F-are-we" birds of the old joke. I had to go and clap my hands to remind them they had wings. Stoopid birds. In Harrow we also had legless frogs and slightly chewed grass snakes deposited indoors for my delectation. The grass snakes played dead and then unwound and scarpered when I took them outside and let them go. Bit unnerving the first time.
Hibernating sort of an evening coming up. Keep safe and warm everyone.

Oh Pat!
I've just sailed my car home. If you don't need to go out DON'T. Seriously it is not safe out there.
Pat - I hope you manage to cool down and get more sleep.
Lesley, we have two visiting cats who are masters at catching the field mice that come through from the woods.
There's a beautiful sunset tonight.
I'm going nowhere. I was going to take his stuff to the accountant. It can wait. Two accidents on the M1 near here.
