    Hi all.

Heavy frost overnight and snow forecast for today.

Hopefully start some of the winter shrub pruning today.

We had a lovely fish pie last night Dove, milk instead of cream made it a bit lighter.

Thanks for PM Hosta, one of the funniest / saddest things I have read for a while.

My son's is 19th as well, Dove.  It's always a bit difficult to separate from Christmas. image

  • Pdoc I usually make our fish pie using skimmed milk in the sauce then stir in a dollop of creme fraiche for flavour.

Pat when son was younger we never pur the decorations up until his birthday when we started with balloons for his party and the tree etc went up the day after.

It was clear out there a few minutes ago but a bank of fog has just rolled in and suddenly it looks horrid out there !

Pat, what you need is overnight showers to save having to hose things down. I saw the Sydney bush fires on TV.

It could be a wakeful results night.....I'll leave bedside radio on.

Dove, same here. Now we just give money. It suits him better.

Joyce, yes to the overnight shower. It would make life a little easier.

Like you, I'm a bit interested in the US result, but worried the male might make it.  Hope not. He plans to make a lot of changes to trade with other countries which would affect a lot of people. Anyway, we'll all tomorrow, won't we.

Hard frost here overnight. I haven't ventured out yet, but I suspect that will have done the remaining dahlias in. Leaves are starting to come down in earnest, shame hubby spent most of yesterday mowing them up.

    Morning all.

Dry , but looks like we had a bit of rain overnight. Certainly no frost.

    Thought I'd share this:

    Good on you Hosta.
