Always loved walking in the "Arran Alps."

Fantastic covered market, Obelixx, and cute kitten. Taramasalata isn't difficult to make, but it doesn't taste the same as the pink stuff you buy in pots.

I've done 3 hours of chopping, weeding and bulb planting this afternoon. Looking forward to relaxing in front of Strictly.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Hello folks image we're back. Hope everyone's had a good day.

Coffee and nice chat with son - OH and he talking music, lunch on Southwold pier and home via Breydon Water and the grazing marshes alongside the River Yare.

No herrings at the harbour -  not many about yet, just a few last week but they were sold quickly - they work their way down the east coast in the autumn and winter - so we've come home with some ray (like skate but not endangered) and scallops - that's tomorrow's supper sorted out.  Tonight we'll be having some of the spicy lentil soup I made yesterday.

    Ooooooooooooh  Gorgeous kitten image

Beautiful Dove! I do love the sea. If I could live anywhere I would disappear to a sheltered hillside facing the sea with nothing but mountains and the view for company.

But then I'm the kind of person who isn't at home with people.

This evening I'm trying desperately to come up with gift ideas. it's not going well!

  • Is your kittens hearing O.K Obelix. White cats can have problems.image Sorry I don't want to worry you.

Ooooo such a lot has been going onimage

Cosmos looks a real cutieimage.  Great view from the pier, and wonderful French marketplace.  Hope DD's outing went well, and glad that the fresh air/ hacking did Pdoc some good.  Great to hear from Liri and her paintbrushimage

Spent the day helping OH point the new paving slabs, then off for a walk, kicking autumn leaves as we went.  Then a couple of hours driving with littlest Chicklet ....test coming up this week.  Obviously want her to pass, but not looking forward to the worrying starting all over again.  Best thing about Chicklet being away at Uni is I don't have to worry about her on the roadsimage

Sympathy Chicky.  Been there with Possum.  Lovely atmospheric seas Dove.  Love sea with mountains too but we have the Atlantic 25kms away and that will do, with no mountain or cliffs.  Lots of sandy dunes and a few rocky bits here.

Cosmos' hearing is fine.  First thing I checked.   He's a bundle of playful energy despite having the snuffles.   Bad habits already.  Caught him watching golf on TV!

We were going to be having Nadia's Cod with Clementines for dinner but the gas bottle ran out and the new, bigger one has the wrong fitting so it's pizza done in the combi oven.   Very gourmet!
