    Hi everyone.

Lantana, it's a bit hard to remember how deep the creekline was when they excavated and built the dam. It's probably about 3-4 metres in the middle when its full of water.

Joyce, the clear sky is all very wel, but it also means there's no relief from the sun beating down on us. I've already had an awful day from the temperature.  Very off my food image. I'm currently sitting on the lounge chair with the doors and windows open (8pm), and hoping for a light breeze to cool things down before bed time.

We always want what we don't have, dont we?

ps love the tale about the horses.

Good morning.    Wild, wet and woolly sort of a night but we have sunshine and blue skies this morning with some big lumps of grey stuff scudding about here and there.

Lovely horse story Busy.  Hope they're happier today.

Lovely cathedral Clari.   I like the lower, more human scale ones like that one and Manchester.   Took my scientists to Canterbury cathedral years ago but we all balked at the price.   Took them again a few years ago when our expenses allowance covered the price of entry and a guided tour but have to wonder what happens if you just want or need to go and pray.  Not exactly an open door welcome to all.

Good photo Pat.  Do you eat the yabbies?

Hope you get your march Chicky.

Pottering day today and walkies then dance class this evening.   Tango and Paso figures to learn and practise.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

    Morning all.

Farmer has delivered the hay. Trouble is they don't like the hay he delivered the time before last so there is still quite a bit left which makes it hard to know if they need a new lot. It all looks fine to me, he never has best quality though, ordinary poor soil meadow hay. He says there must be a smell in it. In December they go into the winter paddock and I will have to feed them. No more helping themselves. They are very wasteful and pull it out then tread in it. Ok when there is some grazing as well.

    We must mend the fence.

Took OH's car to the garage this morning, needs servicing, then MOT.

  • Hope they like the hay BL - some horses can be so fussy can't they - my Exmoor would eat anything (and frequently did image).

Norwich Anglican cathedral is so beautiful, it's down by the river and in the spring the cathedral close is full of blossom and birdsong.  At one time I worked very near by and sometimes went and sat in the cloisters to listen to Evensong being sung by the choir.

We sometimes go to Evensong when in England near a cathedral and there's a choir. We went to York Minster recently, but it was a Monday and we found there was no choir on Mondays. Afraid we didn't stay, just not the same.

Obelixx, I don't eat the yabbies, if I have an say in the menu. Too muddy for my taste. Prefer crustaceans from the sea.
