Crikey, just looked up those shoes! Punkdoc's wife must have beautiful feet. Mine would never fit into shoes like those. Wellies are more my shape.

We've just watched Close to the Enemy too, found it a bit weird.

I didn't know the price you were offering or what they said DD, but after you showed me photos I saw that house advertised for £120,000. I fear £90,000 wouldn't be enough. It's hard to find a nice flat in Périgueux for that, but I know your town, is less expensive.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Even before I got my new feet I couldn't cope with anything higher than 2" and then not for long.  Now I have to buy dance shoes from HK so I can get them with just 1" heels.  Very nice shoes and so comfortable.   Other than that, bare feet, flip flops, flat walking shoes or ankle boots and wellies in different sizes for bare feet, thin socks and thick socks to take me through all the gardening and dog walking seasons.

DD - trouble is that the sellers are Brits (I believe) and 100,000€ doesn't buy as many pounds as before Brexit so they're likely to hold out a long time.    Gives you time to collect crockery sets and try out recipes but you may have to look for somewhere else or offer more if it's what you really want.   Good luck either way.

Pdoc - not surprised the lad smokes dope given his Pa but what a waste of a life.

Been out to dance class so have recorded most of Close to the Enemy.   Missed the beginning thanks to a golf clash!

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

    Morning allimage

Well done Pdoc - good thing you were there (both for neighbour and for shoesimage).  Keep looking DD - always good to have a few options up your sleeve.  It'll happen soon I'm sure.

Chicklet arrived home about midnight last night - soooo lovely to see her.  Looking forward to the weekendimage

DD nothing will concentrate your sellers' minds as much as the knowledge that you've found another suitable property.

Sad to hear of Leonard Cohen's death, but I read recently that he'd told Suzanne who died recently that he'd be following her soon.

    Morning all.

Whatever our worries and troubles, today is one that is more appropriate to think of the greater struggles.

I shall be inviting my classes to take part in a minutes silence. A minutes thinking.
