I usually agree with you, punkdoc. Don't worry about those who don't agree with you, we don't all have the same views. But I hope they haven't sent you unpleasant PMs, if they have then ignore them.
Lunch went well, lamb and veg were lovely and I enjoyed the company. They stayed until after 5pm. I've just finished washing up what wouldn't fit in th dishwasher.
Glad you had a good visit, Dove. The pheasant from the farm shop was delicious and so was the Sea Bass.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Had a nice week end with Charlie, we watched the start of the Vendee Globe and recent updates, one poor man has had to turn back already sadly. Thanks again to Obelixx, Charlie took your goodies into school and the teacher was over the moon, think the classroom walls are going to make very interesting reading.
We've also been to the cinema, using our free tickets from the mairie, saw Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, quite good, Charlie loved it, I felt it could have been better but it was an interesting film.
Now we are watching Countryfile whilst waiting for SCD results. Bit of a tear jerker tonight, not good for me as I feel very emotional at the best of times at the moment.
Anyway, hard week of training ahead now for the marathon preparation so hopefully that will gee me up a bit.
Have a good evening all.

Busy - glad the pheasant and sea bass and lamb were all good. Have to say that Tom Kerridge's brine is far too salty so I would halve the amount another time.
DD - Good. I hope the class can follow progress through the next 2 to 3 months. We watched the start from a distance from Port de Bourgenay - couldn't get any closer - and then came home and watched it on the website with the PC connected to the TV. Really interesting commentary but shame about the chap having to turn back. He's got 10 days to sort the problem though so I hope he does and tries again. Good luck with your training.
Dove - Hope you're feeling better.
Have a cosy evening all. Cold out there!

Just read that Hosta, it was interesting.
Alarming though that he seemed to be advocating civil unrest, if the people don't get what they want.

Lesley - hope you all enjoyed the tennis . Great result
Chicky - too cold here to do any gardening, even if I hadn't been watching tennis.
It's not at all lazy to change your meal choice based on the fact that you managed to put off going to the shops til they were well closed is it?

Wish me luck! I have very little of the kitchen left so it is hardly optimal baking conditions.
