    How many bottles Dove?

Wonky; love is a terrible thing (and we moved in together in August when it was at the back of a cupboard so I wasn't thinking carefully). OH has to suffer my hot water bottle in June (scalding hot is the best way to sooth my nerve pain) so I'll not complain too much ;)

Earlier today I checked all the fluid levels in my truck, filled the fuel tank (ouch!) packed a lunchbox, and generally got her ready to go to a show tomorrow... I hope HE enjoys taking his friends to the show in MY truck! I'm wondering what embarrassing item I can leave in there just to make it perfectly clear that I own her! (Alas no boxes of tampons handy! ? )

Remember to top up on water Dove!

We have a dual control electric blanket. I really like getting into cool sheets but quite like foot warmth when I first get in. So we've got the blanket across the bottom on the bed with only one half heated and the other half tucked over the end of the mattress. But I don't like any extra warmth during the night so we turn it off when the light goes out. OH says he doesn't mind if it's on or off and he sleeps like a log!

Half a trifle left if anyone wants some.

Not sure how to respond to your last comment, Doveimage. Hubby had some suggestions, but I won't repeat them.

Fidget, thanks all the same but I think it would be off by the time I got the trifle.image

ive been a bit down today, don't understand why. The day is ok, warmish, and we even had lunch on the front veranda until the wind changed from a gentle northerly to a brisk easterly. Brr. Moved inside.

I picked my first little red tomato today. Rather early for us, but the plant was protected by a plastic grow tube, so it's been fairly well protected from a couple of cool mornings. I also planted out my Lebanese zucchini that I've had germinating in the small GH today. Fingers crossed that we don't get a cold snap.

    good morning everyone.

  • Good morning all image  G'day Pat image  Sorry you're feeling a bit down , but remember that mood fluctuates for all of us. I think part of the difficulty is that as we get older we have more time to think and notice such things. Laying in bed in the morning and reflecting on life wasn't possible a few years ago when I had to get up as soon as I woke and get on with the day. OH says ghat I'm noticeably more likely to have sad thoughts on a Sunday morning than on any other day.

On the other hand, how lovely to have a ripe tomato - I'd love a warm ripe tomato fresh from the vine today. image

Well Dove! You must have better circulation than the rest of us my toes are freezing. ?

My Land Rover has departed off on its day out with his lordship and his friends. I've packed them a lunch box because shows charge rediculous prices for food.

Hope he at least fills the fuel tank when he gets back.

I've not been to a car show for a year now, used to go all the time but it seems that his excuse of not wanting to invite me is that the dog needs looking after. Shame his friend asked if the dog was coming as it's a dog friendly event! ?

Everywhere I hope out for the day as a special trip out is dog friendly. It's seen as a big deal if I leave the chaps home alone. I think his lordship better start realising how much his brownie points are in deficit!

Maybe I ought tell him to start planning for a back breaking spring preparing the garden. It might give him the hurry up to get on with the DIY in the house!
