Morning all, just back from weightwatchers and have lost my 5% so feeling very motivated. A lovely sunny day here but it is cold. Garden still looking colourful, can't remember such a lovely October.
Hope you manage to sort things out with Wyvale Topbird.
I would certainly get some of those glove Wonky, white finger and carpel tunnel aren't pleasant diseases.
Busy and DD - dance club meeting could go on for hours and resove not-a-lot. We were usually at it till midnight or later. Then I too over the presidency and meetings finished at 9:30 at the latest and everything got done and dusted. Had to ask after the 2nd time what I'd missed out but no, we'd done it all. Everyone so pleased they'd stay and chat over a muffin or piece of cake rather than get aerated and bolshy.
Our new next door neighbour can talk the hind legs off the proverbial.
I might look for some of those gloves for OH who has a new petrol powered strimmer and about an acre of grass to cut with it. Ear defenders too as he's already cloth-eared.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Well it's almost midnight, and I'm stuck in front of the TV (Jools is very boring tonight except for Boy George whom I love), but can't go to bed because "you know who" is here! I've already dozed off, on the lounge while 24hr in A&E was on because I've seen that episode before. Hubby and R.. are chatting Fire Brigade stuff - have I already said it's boring. I should just get up, say I'm heading off tobed and leave them to it.
Too late, but have a good time Dove. We're dreading fireworks again tonight as the dog becomes a shivering wreck and won't even take a treat from us. We just let her find a place she seems happy to lie in and 'protect it' with blankets etc. How do so many youngsters have the money to buy fireworks (not cheap) and let them off at random?
In the process of taking son's bed apart. It had to be sturdy and my gosh it's a puzzle to take apart. He'll be on the floor till Monday.
Hope your day in the garden goes well chicky and you manage the tulips eventually. Oh. I loved the pic of the frosty leaves.
Sunday roast for 10 tomorrow so I'd. better get cracking with the demolition and housework today. In a rush because I want to see if Andy becomes number one (Fingers crossed smiley). Joyce, you can join me in the rollercoaster it will most certainly be.
Oh dear Pat. You should really be able to go to bed when you want. If it's just them chatting, make your excuses and head off and head down, I'm sure she!d understand. Goodnight, I'm off is my usual getout.
Reeeesult - Wyevale just swapped my sprinkler for an identical one - didn't even ask about the receipt. I take back all the rude things I've said about them in the past. They even seemed to have less 'Seasonal Tat' out this year so it still looks like a GC & not Santa's Grotto - hooray.
Maybe they've learned that we gardeners are a hardy bunch and need access to supplies year round (and we need to be able to buy garden-related "Seasonal" presents too of course )
Have a good weekend Dove - nice pub you've chosen there - have a pint of Victoria for me
Pat - if I need to go to bed I just go. Only exception are friends or family I've not seen for absolutely yonks.

Have I missed something? Where's Dove going?

Lesley, I'll be with you......fingers crossed.
Pat, you really should excuse yourself and go to bed. After all, she's not a visitor as such.
The wind is too cold to be in the garden any longer. . . Brrrr
Right, I'm off to bed.
