    Morning all.

topbird, we don't take anti-malarials that often TBH. We didn't take them all the years the we went to India, although many did.

We've never taken Larium due to both of us having suffered with depression in the past. I think Larium is the dodgy one. Why MOD still give it to our troops is beyond belief.

Malarone is now out of copyright, so generic alternatives are available. Same ingredients, different price. ( Nurofen vs ibuprofen )

Hubby off to work at 9 and he thinks I'm working on his accounts, but it's a lovely sunny morning and I now have 2 lorry loads of chippings to deal with before we go on hols next weekend.  He might not be happy when he gets home this evening, but hey ho.

    Devon.
  • Morning,

Nice & sunny here, hurrah, but bit chilly. Charlie off school for Armistice Day, Bank Holiday here, think we are going to go go to a big new swimming pool in Limoges.image

The house I want has actually been reduced to 100,000€, it's been on the market for over 3 years, has been empty for that long too and is looking a bit sorry for itself. Turns out the plumbing doesn't comply with building regulations and there is extensive damp that will need to be dealt with. After explaining my reasons I offered 80,000€ expecting at least to open negotiations but they came back and said no less than 100,000  and they had 'loads'of other interested parties - 4 weeks on nothing has happened, I was half hoping they would get back to me with a suggestion of around 95,000€, but not yet. People who live locally are telling me they think I should hang on as they think it is over priced compared to other properties. Difficult to tell because every house in the town is different, it's not like a town in the UK where you get several roads of similar houses and have at least something to compare to. I am still looking at other places but that one did tick so many of my boxes. No wonder they say house hunting is so stressful and I haven't even got out the starting gate yet. image

Hang in then DD.  Like I said, gives you time to do other things to prepare your tea-room venture.

Bright and sunny here but nippy.  OH is out hedge trimming which always worries me as he doesn't understand horizontal lines and what we end up with doesn't qualify for an arty Jacques Wirtz cloud hedge either.   I am going to do a coat of yellow paint and then potter outside when it gets a bit warmer.

Haven't been anywhere as an adult that needed malaria pills but had it as a baby so can't give blood, not that the Belgians wanted it anyway cos of mad cows.   Expect the French will be the same.

Has anyone seen the thing on Facebook with Trump in a bubble saying all illegal migrants will be shipped home and a Red Indian (sorry, PC native American) below him saying "Seriously?  When are you going home?"

DD , sometimes you have to go with your gut. If you've decided, all things considered ,that's the price you're prepared to pay, then stick to it.

Something is worth what someone else is prepared to pay for it.

If he has" load of interested parties", why hasn't he sold it yet?

    Hi all.

Back from dentist, with a numb mouth.

Neighbours not bothered to come round to say anything about last night, but I know they discharged the lad.

hang on in there DD., a game of cat and mouse I think.

    Larium is the baddie, Hosta.

What about the wonderful idea, mooted on Radio 4 this morning that we should send Farage to negotiate with Trump?

    Morning all.

Good luck DD. I was just worried you'd lose it. I may have got the wrong house or the ad I saw may be out of date. Three years is about average for selling a house in France though. But it's not very likely they've had loads of interest in the current climate.

I hope the weather bucks up, I've got loads of tulips to plant.

I haven't posted anything for a long time and am trying to get my head around this new format. Can anyone please tell me how do I post a new thread? There does not seem to be a post indicator anywhere. I would be so grateful for some info!  Thanks
