When the rose has finished the jasmine takes over. There are still a few odd jasmine flowers, but it was best in July. It may help that the compost heaps are over the root area.
have seen the Kiftsgate rose in its natural habitat, quite a site.
The chauffeur has returned from Meadowhall and it was far too warm, far too many people and way too many shops. It was expensive, I had apparently "forgotten" that I said ages ago, I said I would buy OH a pair of v.expensive shoes [ you ladies will understand if I say the ones with red soles ] , anyway I did.
I decided I did not want an image makeover, so then spent some time in Waterstones, talking to a lovely guy, who seemed to have read almost every book they sold, so I bought some reading for the cold dark days.
Still hope I don't go again for another 10 years or so.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Fidget, anti malarials for our month in The Gambia in January, but Cape Verde to get out of the way first.
Have I mentioned I hate winter?
Overturned muck spreading trailer on the road on the way there, but being Cornish farmers, they just got a JCB and flipped it back onto its wheels. Impressive stuff.
Oh, forgot to mention, I had to leave the guys at home digging out the truck after delivering some more chippings.
He was reversing over the grass edge to the drive and I said " don't go back any further ,or you'll get stuck" What did he do? YUP went back another metre. Truck stuck up to the front bumper so he had to call one of his colleagues to come rescue him , not before his mate took a photo and posted it on facebook for all to see.
I went and checked when I came home. They've filled the mess over with very nicely raked chippings. You can hardly even see where they'd been, bless'em.
