    Morning all image

Windy again and heard "stuff" rattling around last night....I should clear the empty flower pots away.

Marion's friend posted that her laptop was being repaired.

BL....be very careful with your shoulder.

  • The blue patches have spread and it's a lovely day out there - if a bit chilly - I may even hang some washing out ...

BL - do be careful with your shoulder - although if it's like mine mucking out should be ok - it's reaching up that was the problem.

I'll be going to tennis again in half an hour - fingers crossed here too image

Morning all,  feeling very lazy today,  had a Mabel day yesterday, no little gems as she was feeling a bit sorry for herself, 'Don't want to go to the park nanna, can we just have a Duvet Day'.  Calpol and Olbas oil sorted out the symptoms and we spent the day watching TV, reading and playing Peppa Pig.  She did insist we went to the shops though as she wanted a carrot (one of her favourite snacks) and there weren't any in the fridge.

Firstborn was in a bad mood yesterday as she knocked a full cup of coffee over her Mac laptop.  Despite paying an extra premium on her household insurance to cover the Mac, they don't want to pay out as she doesn't have the receipt.  She does have a copy of the bank statement that highlighted the purchase payment and the original packaging.  Don't fancy their chances of holding out.  Firstborn is notorious for getting her own way.

Hubby was in a bad mood because he got a speeding ticket, 57  in a 50.  One of those situations where the speed limit drops in about 100 yards.  He's not a happy bunny, decided to take the points and pay the £100 instead of £85, speed awareness training and no points.  He doesn't have any points at the moment and has decided that a day in his life is worth more than £15.

They say things come in 3's I'm just waiting for the third disaster.

Duvet day sounds lovely but not for me today.  We've both been for haircuts  I just had 20cms lopped off - can't do basins in hairdressers cos of my neck and have long since decided that for gardening and dancing I need to be able to put my hair out of the way easily and life is too short for blow drying a style.   OH pleased with his but he really goes for the scalp massage.

Popped in to a builders' trades cooperative to ask for someone to come and talk small extensions to us and now home to do more pottering and sorting before lunch and walkies.  It's grey and cool but dry.

I hope all aches, pains and lurgies clear up quickly for all concerned.  Olbas oil is my standby for winter bugs too Yvie.    Poor Mabel and Reggie.   Bonzo dog is very nervy at the mo, just because i did them both a flea and tick treatment last night.  He doesn't like the squirty sound.   Stoopid dog.

    Hi all.

Lovely and sunny today, so have been outside hacking at trees.

OH at an in interview at Manchester University today, so fingers crossed, even though it will mean lots of traveling. At the moment she is failing to keep me in the manner to which I am accustomed. image

Got to go out and buy some mussels, as they are her favourite food, thought I might do a sea food risotto.

The news from Syria last night was even more awful than usual. I have heard they are going to have to move the hospital, as it is now too near to the bombing.

    Have a good day.

  • Pdoc - I heard some interviews from Syria this morning - very hard to listen to image  So hard to feel so useless ...

As I said, we have to hang onto the good things wherever we can find them, however small  - Wonky saved a hedgehog from certain death this morning.

I love mussels - we'll have to go to the Belgian Monk again soon  http://www.thebelgianmonk.com/mussels.html  - you should bring your OH to Norwich image
