Loved the performance of the singers but not so much the dance - too energetic, athletic and exhuberant whereas I see it as a sultry, subtle dance with innuendo and a bit of menace tho I've also seen it danced with some cheeky humour and that works too.
Very much enjoyed both Angelas' dances which had recognisable content and good performances, as did Annabelle and Ellie who were my favourites tonight.
I thought Krishnan didn't look comfortable and his trousers were an appalligly bad fit. Really disliked Nigel's dance and Bobby still makes me feel uncomfortable.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
The two women judges irrationally irritate me when they thank dancers when they should congratulate them, and when they tell the dancers they’re proud of them. Are they their mothers? Did they coach them?
Too early for me to accurately recall the couple in question but Motsi stood up to applaud and raved about the performance. I was somewhat taken aback when she then gave a score of 8.
Shirley's comment about wetting her pants was, er, unusual. I suddenly missed Len and his pickled walnuts.
I think it's time for AR to go. It was uncomfortable to watch for me,and she's over marked IMHO. The Argentine tango was good to watch but I don't warm to him at all. He runs a dance school apparently. So really he shouldn't be there. Ellie was great and I want her to win.
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
Loved Layton and Nikita's Argentine Tango last night - but it wasn't the best ever. I think Angela and Kai will get through (though they may be in the dance off) as I think they want her to be at Blackpool, to remind us that she used to present Come Dancing from there. She and Krishnan are now the worst dancers I think. Glad Angela S. has upped her game, Ellie is great.
But this is the point in Strictly where one of the better dancers generally goes home and there is outrage!
I haven't watched any of Strictly this time, but from what I'm hearing from my missus and others is that Layton is all about showing off his athleticism and acrobatic skills and little about actual dance ability. Do others think the same?
I didn't think that there were any stand out terrible performances and I really can't see Angela Rippon going before Blackpool it just won't be allowed to happen so that means anyone bar Angela Rippon is in danger but luckily for the Beeb Krishnan has peaked and I wouldn't be surprised to see him go this week. We voted for Angela Scanlon, Bobby and Nigel.
I think Layton danced his best dance last night (not too acrobatic or showy).Ellie is really, really very good still, as is Angela S, with less technical ability (but I know what Craig meant about gaps in content of the choreography). Nigel was very much a 'leading man', though I thought the choreography a bit twee. I actually loved Angela R's Paso Doble - I thought the choreography and her styling were excellent. Annabel's samba was very good - I feel if she could 'let go' more, she could be in the running, but I sense she is in the competition for other reasons and is getting more out of the experience than the competitive side. Similarly with Krishnan, he is loving the experience and perhaps is not interested in the more technical side of dancing. I know what Craig means about Bobby's hands and arms - but I thought he had shown signs of improvement.
I think the top 3 for me are Ellie, Nigel and Layton, with Angela R and S and Annabel and Bobby in the next tier, but I still love the joy of Krishnan dancing, so for me, I would be very happy if he goes through. At least none of them are like automatons, which has happened at this stage in the competition in years gone by.
Sorry to witness the demise of the forum. 😥😥😥😡😡😡I am Spartacus

There have been others with athletic and gymnastic skills who have not been such dreadful "all about me" prima donnas.
So the dance could be interesting tonight ?
