What?  Someone you know? Or someone just walked in and was poking about while you were in the garden? 😨

    long story.
    Nothing to worry about.
It's just a phone, but photos of my grandchildren .

Oh what a shame … I’ve got an elderly iPhone and my pics are all saved ‘in the cloud’ wherever that is.  OH has just bought a secondhand recently refurbed  iPhone … he has a sim only contract with unlimited calls texts etc and 25 gigs of data for £10 a month. My contract is sim only and roughly the same cost but I  get more data.

Are you going to get a sim only contract?  Virgin are offering a good deal at the moment … that’s who we’re with. Then you can store your photos ‘in the cloud’ with ours. 😎

So sorry to read about your phone @Hostafan1, it's not the phone that is important is it, but the photos that are lost with it, so very sad. Sending hugs.
Fingers crossed here for some decent weather for you tomorrow @didyw

Good news. I've just had a message to say someone found my phone at the side of the road, A little damp , but in working order. I guess it was thrown out of the car window

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
and great news @Hostafan1 Phew! … the w****r probably realised it was a cheapo that he couldn’t flog … and very fortuitous that someone found it and was able to access your ID 👍 Pleeeeease take whatever action you need to prevent that (or worse)  happening again … you’re quite vulnerable in that rather isolated spot. 😨 🥰

Now make sure you’ve transferred copies of all those precious photos to your laptop.

We’re going to have a day out today … not sure where just yet … somewhere to do a bit of shopping and have a nice lunch out …

    Good morning all!

Great news @Hostafan1   Hope you recuperate those precious photos!!

Cooler - much cooler down here.  We have some respite from high temperatures over the next few days.  Windy though.

Went to a nice restaurant last night with friends - the new owners are from the Maurice Islands and it makes such a change from the normal fare down here such as Seiche à la plancha etc.  I had tuna Tataki.  It came with a puree of sweet potato and various raw sliced vegetables such as cucumber, daikon white radish and tomato,.  Most delicious.  We had a shared samosas, accras and battered mussels platter with a couple of spicy and hot sauces to eat with our first glass of white.

Busy weekend coming up so preparations are needed.  I hope you all have a pleasant weekend.
