Wrist is a lot better LB, not back to normal but only a twinge occasionally.Β  Tennis was brilliant wasn't it.

I don’t follow tennis, particularly, but I’m so pleased that Alcaraz won, for a whole host of reasons. Well done Mr Alcaraz 🍾.

I agree, that match was the best, although I do admit to leaving the room on occasions as I couldn't stand the tensionπŸ˜‚ Brilliant outcome. Me too @Red maple πŸ™‚
Rosie, so pleased you've had a good birthday day and good that you enjoyed the Baileys, it should help to relax you and hopefully allow you some nice sleep How is Alfie doing? Did he watch the match all snuggled up on your lap?
Always good to see you both @star gaze lily and Β @Yviestevie.Β

Have done some knitting tonight, I am now paying for it.πŸ˜• Night all, sleep well. At least the winds have subsided a bit here.

A very good morning one and all. Hopefully in the garden today but not holding my breath. I'm quizzing again tonight so that should be enjoyable. This team rarely win but its a bit like Uni Chall, if at least you get a few right you don't feel too bad.

    Morning all.

I'm glad you had a happy birthday, Rosie. Sorry I missed it, busy day.

Hello from Eastbourne. The drive here was a bit long yesterday as the A 21 was closed. We almost came to blows. The Tom Tom didn't know about the closed road, the strident voice on the phone did know, but OH thought he knew a better way so they all gave conflicting advice. I was driving as OH isn't allowed to drive a French car in the UK. Daft rule. We switched off the Tom Tom, then the phone, then OHwas late with instructions and said the phone had sent us by a route he didn't know after all. I hadn't a clue where we were and I was bursting for a wee.

Today we are going to lunch with my cousin in Lewes. Tuesday we take the ferry.

There was a howling gale in Norfolk, I even felt it rock the car on the drive here, my car is usually pretty stable in wind. I've read that a couple of local villages had been without electricity. Luckily ours wasn't and the wind has been calming down. I hope it's OK for the crossing on Tuesday.

    Good morning all.

Gosh, I have over 40 new posts to read. You gave me a decent homework.😁 Another hot morning, but today I'll stay in. Yesterday I was at cottage and done a lot of work, so now can spare one day for rest. Forecast promise us some rain at Thursday, but till then sun and around 40℃.Β
Hope you are all well, but I'll find out when I finish with reading.

Wish you all a nice day!Β

    Good morning @Biglad and @Busy-Lizzie
If I was you Biglad - I wouldn't hold my breath for reasonable weather on Thursday but you'll have a good time whatever.
Busy, once upon a time I used to really enjoy driving but it has become nightmarish at times now. An increase in traffic and perennial roadworks lead to such frustrations. It was really windy here and I thought of Hazel - and our shared concerns about very windy weather - apparently it is just going to be a 'gentle breeze' with a 98% chance of heavy rain showers today. Correct! Fingers crossed for a gentle sailing for you tomorrow.
