Good afternoon all. Back from Bestie's. Pleased with hair. Bestie's NDN was taken into hospital last night with a heart flutter. She is being kept in for another day and evening whilst they look at her medication. One of her daughter's dropped round and filled us all in. She had been sent to her Mum's with a long list of things she needed and instructions for looking after the cats and the tomato plants!
Busy, I bet you find all the tidying up and deadheading very therapeutic. Thats the sort of job I enjoy. Well done to CB, as Hazel says, for keeping things under control whilst you were away.
@rowlandscastle444 I think your jam sounds absolutely delicious There is nothing wrong with mixed fruit jam.
Hazel, the forecast here is not too clever for the weekend but I hope you find a good day soon for a visit to your Mum. Have you got some wool for her? It sounds as though those workmen are careful and considerate people. How nice they looked after your border.
Hey Rosie, you deserve the rest. I expect Alfie will be resting with you too? Sleeping Face on Microsoft Teams

LB, our forecast  is dreadful but we'll have to chance it as needs must at the moment. Yes, I have got some new balls of wool for her plus many other goodies. 🙂
Signing off for today, tired tonight. Night all.

I am signing out for this evening too. See all you good people tomorrow and remember - keep smiling. It makes them wonder what you have been up to!

A very good morning one and all. Wet and dismal here at the moment and I'm about to go out shopping shortly. I guess gardening will be on the back burner for a while this weekend.

  • Good morning @Ladybird4
Dry here in Kent, for the moment, although we had a thunderstorm last night.
Should be ok for me to be in the garden today, but the weekend looks to be a washout. Hope you find plenty to do. Rainy days can drag on.

    Morning all.

I weeded nearly all the orchard fence bed yesterday, hands ache. OH deadheaded the Jewel bed.

I have to do some stuff with a yellow cloth and a sucking thing, bedmaking, getting rid of spindly spiders (grandson is afraid of them) and cooking as Daughter 1 and family are coming tomorrow. They were coming on Sunday but rain is forecast and they want to spend a day by a bathing lake.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Good morning all lovely day at David Austin roses yesterday but a naughty Shepherdess rose insisted on coming home with me. I couldn’t resist. I have the perfect spot for her so “shrugs shoulders”
The new pink rose is gorgeous and a proper classic rose scent so will buy that bare root as I need to do some moving of plants in the autumn and that will make space. I love my roses in half barrels but to be honest the climbers struggle so maybe time for a rethink.
@rowlandscastle444 nothing is as good as home made you can really taste the fruit
