We had a choice of 3 subjects to pick one from in the 2nd year at secondary school and I chose German rather than Latin. I can't recall exactly the 3rd choice - environmental science or some such - a strange trio!
Raining all day today here. Much like Old Trafford It must be heading towards one of the wettest summer months ever (to coincide with me not working and having loads I want to do in the garden). Forecast is ok for tomorrow and Tuesday evening so the volunteer gardening and next round of golf look promising.
Daughter 2 and her 3 children are coming for lunch tomorrow. Daughter 1 will be coming to the SM tomorrow to help with the shopping. Her family enjoyed the canoeing today. I did some gardening while they were out.

Ruby I am keeping fingers crossed that today is a garden day for sure having been trapped inside by the rain over the weekend. Getting a bit stir crazy here.

Afties all. Back home after an extremely and scary drive home. Driving rain, spray from cars and a 40 min tail back of traffic due to an accident. Long hard journey. I was glad to see mum (in her new " accommodation" ) but the visits were tough.....more than a few tears were spilled between us .It will take us a while to adjust to this. The garden is a mess after all the rain and, of course, wind. I've spent a little time tidying up what I can but I'm too tired for much. Hope everyone is well. Have had a quick read but nothing gone in. Brain is gone. 😕
