Hello all. Its been a dreadful day all day here and reading some of your posts it has obviously been pretty dire with lots of you too.
@Busy-Lizzie, I do hope your crossing wasn't too rough and that you are now back in France.
SGL, you have been so incredibly brave over the last few months. You get virtual hugs from us all.
@rowlandscastle444, you have concentrated my mind on what I would have to do if I moved now and the thought is so awful I have decided - NEVER.
I am signing out for tonight so I'll say night night all and see you tomorrow.

    Evening all.
Busy day doing unmentionables & cutting the grass. Also cutting back ox-eye daisies before they set seed all over the driveway.

Nobody has mentioned it so I will - did you realise Uni Challenge and Only Connect are up and running again? Started yesterday and caught me unawares as I thought we didn't usually start for another month or so. Had to watch on i-Player but all set to record for future weeks. Amol Rajan fair rattles through the questions on Uni Chall😁

Dry & breezy yet again today. Send some rain this way please!

I saw OC and UC last night @Topbird .Noticed Amos Raman said " helluva" twice.

Rained all day here, next doors new driveway is coming along nicely but is so much higher than old one.

Wd haven't got car back yet from garage, waiting endlessly is tiring. Guess we may have to cycle or walk to nearest shop tomorrow for papers.🤔😬

Signing off for now, Night all.

The crossing was really smooth and it's warm and sunny. We are now in a hotel in France in the countryside but quite near the motorway having had a delicious dinner.

  • Morning everyone.   Awake early and drinking tea in bed.    Need to trim the rose bush which has been very successful.  Haven’t kept the label but blousy with pink petals when in bloom.  Rosie

Morning! Glad I'm not the only one who is up and about early.

Good morning Rosie and @rowlandscastle444. Our Rosie is an early riser and often @Biglad is as well when the CA pushes him out.
Eek T'Bird, thanks for the heads up about Uni Chall and OC. That threw me completely and I will be playing catch up sometime today. Mind you I was out quizzing myself but had I realised I could have recorded it.
Sorry to hear your car is still being mended Hazel. Hope you get some good news today.
    Bonjour Busy.

    Morning all.

The hotel bed is comfy and we slept well. Another bit over 5 hrs to drive and we will be home.

Should be a warm sunny day.

Good morning Rosie, LB and all to follow.

I have my tea on the balcony. It's another hot morning, but according to forecast, next three days should be raining, windy and much better. Yesterday was the peak of the heat wave, and I definitely felt it at cottage. I'll try to rest today, and pray for rain.

Good morning Busy and Ante. Safe onward journey Busy, I bet you are getting quite excited now about seeing your French home and garden.
Ante, I will pray that you get rain soon too. If I could I would send you some of mine. Have a good rest day.
