    Morning all (from the CA),

True to form I've been up for a couple of hours already. The forecast for today and tomorrow has improved massively. Fingers crossed that it's correct for the cricket.

Morning Biglad. I, too, do hope that the cricket isn't blighted by bad weather. There is a tiny glimmer of sunlight here but I suspect it may not last.

Morning all. Looks quite sunny out but haven't been out yet. The flaming workmen are up and at it early this week, and setting their machines, cutters and saws, off early too, making a helluva racket😡
We haven't decided which way to get to the local shops 😬

Good afternoon all. Well it turned out to be a perfect day for gardening today after a damp start. I managed to cut two large branches off my lilac and one off my bird cherry. It probably isn't the right time to do that but as it was the removal of whole branches as opposed to pruning I thought it would be OK. Both green bins are now full and ready for emptying tomorrow. I got one hydrangea planted out from its pot into the garden. Time for a cuppa methinks.
Hazel, your neighbours were very canny going away on holiday and leaving the noise and mess behind. Have you got your car back yet?

  • Hello LB just had a belting tuna mayo in crusty bread from the rather large bread maker.  Hazel hope car is soon in order. Rosie

Rosie, I love tuna mayo sandwiches - one of my favourites. I've had a really hard time getting signed in to GW this afternoon. I kept getting an ERROR 503 first byte timeout message. Thank goodness I have finally made it.

    Evening all.
LB, just got car back after teatime. Cost wasn’t as bad as anticipated so we’re all roadworthy now to visit mum later in week.
We decided to walk the couple of mikes to shops this morning- after I found my bike had flat tyres and the pump didn’t work😬that will have to go in the bike repair shop next. Also found that OH bus pass has expired🙇‍♂️too.
Have planted out our Passionflower in the ground after the afternoon rains stopped as it was in almost permanent shade.
The workmen have nearly finished NDNdriveway thankfully but it is a lot higher than old driveway. OH will have to sort out borders next week when home from mums.

Glad you have your car back Hazel - ready for your trip. How is your Mum? Do you think she is settled?
@Biglad, I watched the highlights from Old Trafford and seriously wished I had been there.
I am signing out for tonight - going to watch Sewing Bee. See you all tomorrow.
