Hello @star gaze lily, I'm sorry you are still very down, but I'm afraid that is understandable and to be expected. Such a hard part of life that you are going through at the moment. You will be tired too from lack of sleep. In my case it took time to feel better, memories are still there but no longer painful. It was the emptiness at the time that was so bad. Life will fill up again.

Hi @star gaze lily, lovely to see your post. I think @Busy-Lizzie has said things perfectly and it will take time to heal and , with family support, re-establish yourself. It's good that you are to see the doctor, I'm sure he/she will be able to help. You don't need anything to talk about here, I talk about being busy doing nothing plenty of times 🙂 so anytime you feel like joining in please do. Lovely to see you. I've sent you a PM.

    Good afternoon all.
It’s a much fresher day today with some sunshine. The humidity we had yesterday is gone, thankfully. I find it so draining.
Had a fairly quiet day, just my Pilates class and a SM shop. I might get the hot metal plate thingy out later, or might not 😂.
💐 @star gaze lily. Nice to see your post, and as songbird says, a post can be just to say “hi”, it doesn’t have to be full of news 😊.

  • Lily lovely to hear from you.  It’s very early days and missing a loved one is very difficult.  I hope you can get some needed sleep as you will be very tired and I hope your GP is helpful.  Locally we have a bereavement cafe where you can get support.  Hopefully there is support in your area and maybe your GP can help with this.  Try not to spend too much time alone and be kind to yourself.  Although these things don’t make up for the loss of a loved one your still a special person and you have made many important words to res.  Take care.  Sending hugs Rosie.

Good afternoon all. First of all a big hello and virtual hug to SGL. So lovely to see you. I think everyone has commented what I would have said SGL. You are one of us and hopefully our joint supportive thoughts will surround you with a tiny amount of consolation.
Busy, I love your pics of the Norfolk Show. My favourites are the creatures. Thank you for sharing them with us.
Hazel, Bestie and I worked very hard at putting the world to rights. We came to the conclusion that human kind are the worst 'messer uppers' of the planet. Whoever said that man fouls his own nest got it about right in our view. After philosophizing we then went to a nursery - new to me but known to Bestie. I was blown away at how cheap everything was. I picked up two beautiful dianthus (£2.99 for a 1L pot) and Bestie bought a 1.5m jasmine - covered in flowers and absolutely intoxicating in its scent - and a little fuchsia. I will definitely be going there again. Sorry that you are still dissatisfied with your surgery. and the poor dissemination of information.

LB the gravel garden wasn't my cup of tea either, bleak. I took a photo because it was the only show garden this year. In the past there were several. There were some small children's gardens but they were surrounded by children so I couldn't take photos. Sounds a great nursery. Nurseries are cheaper than GCs.

I've done unmentionables this afternoon. Some things, like windows are cleaner - can't think how that happened. Rain stopped so I deadheaded and pruned the climbing Caroline Testout rose.

See you on the last day of June LB. I'm off too, night all.
  • Morning all.  A cooler morning but higher temps are soon expected.  We had some lovely strawberries yesterday and there’s more left for today.  Enjoyed the tennis at Eastbourne.  Coco Gauff played very well.  Looking forward to further coverage today.  Already had some tea and breakfast.  Lily I hope you had a better night.  Rosie
