Good morning Ante and all later arrivals. Not very warm or sunny here so far Ante but I am always positive. You did tell us about meeting up with your school friends and will you be seeing a certain lady again???ย Not got my fellow detective SGL here to help with investigations! I'm off to Bestie's today and I've got some old duvets and sleeping bags which are going to be sent off to the Ukraine.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Forecast to be a decent day today - no rain and reasonable temperatures.
Shame I've still got a bit of work to do in order to get it all finished by tomorrow Boss doesn't reply to e-mails but then will send messages asking if I'll have everything done. If he ever asked me to work for him again, the reply would definitely be Foxtrot Oscar! ย
Good morning all. Good day at work yesterday the horrid senior is away for another 3 months and we are back to almost full staff. Booked a day to spend with Maisie, her best friend is very poorly and she is struggling, a lot for an 8 year old to deal with but I will plan a fun day for us.ย
Rain overnight but sunny now though it feels cooler thankfully.ย
LB, I'll start to use ginkgo pills, they are apparently good for memory.๐ I completely forgot that I told this. About seating arraignment, maybe I don't know.
Debs, I'm so glad that you will have much better situation at work. I don't know your senior, but wish him additional 3 months away.ย ย
Good morning Ante . Whatever you decide to do ,enjoy .LB enjoy your time with your Bestie. I think it is going to get a lot hotter later in the day .Debs good that you had a better day at work yesterday. Itโs miserable when you feel uncomfortable at work because of someone you work with.
In fact, @Ladybird4, I might send him a Teams message (his preferred method of non-communication) to that effect today anyway! I've hit a standstill now until somebody, somewhere responds to multiple requests and reminders I've sent. I guarantee that if I did, he'd actually speak to me for the first time in months ย ย
In better news, just got the first ripe blueberry of this year from Draper - 10 days earlier than last year - good girl! ย
Morning all. Got an early morning phone from docs this morning( unexpected) and had a long talk with the CP again about recent diagnosis of osteoporosis. It seems,( after doing my own research) ย according to the WHO specifications I may/could have osteopenia not the other. I put this to CP as a challenge /query to my diagnosis and she is to take it up with my Doctor..whom I am yet to see or talk to, even at this stage. Still, it's better than no communication at all as things seems pretty dire at the surgery right now making it impossible to see anyone. I am going to ring both the docs and the hospital tomorrow to see if I can get my two blood tests results and also some old tests I had done earlier in the year ( at the hospital). We have done the weekly shop, nice and quiet but freezing cold inside the building. We came out to some nice warmth and sunshine. I hope you put some wrongs in the world right today @Ladybird4 with your bestie, there's enough to discuss at the moment. ๐ If not, there may have to be an committee enquiry๐๐ Our Deutzia Scabra ย is looking awful so may have to replace it. It was in memory of my dad but he never looked as ragged and scraggy as the plant does so time for a rethink. I did get another little plant with his name in the title but it also includes the word " ballerina" which we always laugh at. My dad was anything butย a ballerina in looks, 5'11" , big builder chap but it gives us a chuckle. I like that his name is incorporated in the plant name. Always something to think about and /or change in gardens.ย
Your surgery sounds like ours in Norfolk @Songbird-2. There is a meeting tonight in the village hall about it as some of the staff have given in their notice and it's almost impossible to get an appointment or get through on the phone.
We looked on the SatNav and it gave the best way to drive to the Showground by the main roads but we decided to take the most countryfied route. So glad we did, no traffic jams until the last five minutes. We had warnings on the local radio to say that there were huge jams on the main road. I think the Show was more crowded than it had been when we've visited before, probably because of the weather forecast. Dry yesterday, rain today. OH took his buggy and he still has a blue card for parking. We were there from 10.30am to 5.30pm, my legs were aching from all the walking. I borrowed the buggy for a bit when I was flagging. I liked the carriage driving in the main arena best. I also like the live stock and the Shire horses. Not so interested in farm machinery though OH likes it.
It rained in the night, just stopped. It all looks very wet outside so I hope it's the right sort that waters the garden properly and fills the butts.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hi everyone, sorry but I haven't read back. But hope you are all well.ย ย I haven't posted as I don't have much to chat about and still very down and not sleeping much. I've managed to get an appointment with my Dr next week.ย Hope you have all been enjoying this beautiful weather. We have a hosepipe ban, but did get a bit of rain overnight and early this morning.ย ย

We went to the Norfolk Show yesterday. I've put photos here.ย https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/1075153/the-royal-norfolk-show-photos-for-those-who-like-agricultural-shows/p1?new=1
I spent some time in the evening sorting out photos. I took quite a lot on phone and camera. Phone to WhatsApp family and camera because it's best for filing on Laptop for making albums online and I can't see the picture properly on phone because in daylight it looks too black.ย
