    Morning all.

Been having Internet problems. Router wouldn't work. The Wifi extensions control the garden cameras and my Laptop in the dining room. TV wouldn't work. OH rang Vodaphone. They said they had updated the router. Router works this morning. It's in the sitting room. My laptop after OH fiddled with it now works in the sitting room. TV works. Wifi extenders still don't work. New update apparently is too fast for them. OH will have to reset them. Bother.

Going to the SM for the weekly shop.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Raining here but welcome.  The kitchen floor fitted and looks lovely and goes well with the cupboard doors.  Hazel what a shame when you were looking forward to moving forward.  Hope you found the gardening distracting.  Alfie has some goodies to make up for the disruption.  LB depending on how long our birthday and Christmas lists are if extensive you could get arm ache.  Topbird hope the weather improves for you.

Good afternoon all. Well it has mizzled and drizzled all day here and at times I had to put the lights on in the front room. I've just finished watering the tomatoes in the greenhouse and tying in the new growth. I noticed that the first teeny tomatoes are forming so I must get the feed on standby.
Hazel, I was having a good look at the plants I THOUGHT were my Verbena bonariensis and I don't think they are them at all - the leaves are all wrong. I will need to see these 'strangers' in flower so I can identify them. Whatever they are they are strong and healthy. I love your picture but it has just reminded me that I still haven't seen any butterflies in my garden. I think that is quite sad.
Busy, I can totally empathise with your router difficulties. As part of the mess I had to sort out last week, I had to reset my router - not just turning it off and then on again after 20 secs. I had to find the little hole on the back of the router and insert something thin enough to push into the hole for 30 secs. Luckily I had a thin bamboo knitting needle which worked well but 30 secs does seem a long, long time when you are not even sure if it will work. Luckily it did. I sometimes get annoyed that I appear to be turning into an unpaid VW engineer!

Rosie, I was waiting to hear how your flooring job went yesterday. You sound to be very pleased with it. Alfie will need lots of fuss having been consigned to the bathroom.
p.s. will the person who borrowed the charging cable for my cordless hedge trimmer's power pack please return it - my hedge needs a good cut!

It’s rained for most of the day here too, LB so no gardening  done. We popped into town for a few bits and came home with three heavy bags of all sorts of things that weren’t on my list.
Have arranged an engineers visit next week from Sky to upgrade our sky box in readiness for the impending changes the BBC are making next year. ( going to ‘ make ‘all channels HD) . Our current tv and box are actually ok but we weren’t going to turn down after upgrade to a better system!
Had to get a spare set of keys made today- I nearly choked on the price… £10 for one and £9 for the other😱😬Crumbs, they’ve gone up since I last needed keys cutting.

Hello all. Much, much cooler this morning - had to put a jumper on😲 Back to the low 20's tomorrow.

BL - I hate it when our Wi-Fi or email goes awry. OH set them all up and I'm still not 100% sure of the best course of action when they go wrong. Have written down loads of directions but I'm always slightly wary of making things worse. Annoys the heck out of me as I'm actually fairly techie.

Biglad - nice haul of berries there. Good on the old cornflakes.

Glad to hear the kitchen went well Rosie. Poor old Alfie. He'll be glad to get his house back to normal.

Good to hear some of you have had rain. Apparently we've had barely a drop while we've been away.

We had a terrific thunderstorm last night. Not really that much in the way of rain but loud rolls of thunder that echoed round and roundthe lakes for ages. Today we had a real cloudburst at lunchtime. Fortunately we were able to watch it from the comfort of the IKEA restaurant. Meatballs and lingonberry jam for lunch 😋

The museum was small but quite interesting - worth a visit on a wet day. Not sure where we'll be tomorrow. Possibly Lund. See what the day brings....
