Rubee, I'm sorry to hear that your asthma is problematic. Like LB I wonder if it has been exacerbated by the very high pollen levels. Neither OH nor I really sufferwith hayfever, but we've both been a touch throaty and sniffy over the last few weeks.
Yvie - Sweden is absolutely beautiful. Scenic, clean, well maintained and incredibly friendly. We're also huge fans of the different Scandi-noirs (esp The Killing and The Bridge) and are delighted to report everything is in glorious technicolour rather than the desaturated colours on the TV!
We have moved on. The weather has taken a turn for a day or so and tonight we have a thunderstorm. It will be cool & overcast tomorrow so we've come to Almhult - home of IKEA.
The company has been going since 1958 and there's a large museum about 10mins cycle ride away so we'll go and have a mooch there tomorrow and have some meatballs and Daim cheesecake for lunch as you do. There's even an IKEA hotel across the road furnished entirely from the store. A little Swedish joke on their website - "Don't worry - everything is fully assembled for you...."😁
We were very spoilt by our previous campsite - so very tranquil. This one is much more family oriented and busier - but it's still on a lake with a beach and swimming pontoons. It even has a floating sauna, so not too shabby!

T'Bird, your post did make me smile. I'm just imagining a hotel where you have to build all your bedroom furniture before you can get to sleep. Loving the IKEA humour there. The floating sauna has me pondering as well. Do you have to boat out to it and does it have a 'dock'? I guess it is just off the beach? Strangely enough I also have to say that I'm not a hayfever sufferer but I have been feeling throaty and sniffy as well during these extremely high pollen laden days. There has been a bit of rain in the night as my car is beaded with water this morning. Hope that has washed some pollen away. I'm off to shop soon. I also have several birthday/anniversary cards to stick in the post box. Would anyone out there like to share some of my family?? Kidding of course, I love them all to bits.

Morning all. Awoke early so decided to get up. It's a lot cooler this morning which is very welcome. Hospital appointment was a rushed affair ( I felt) yesterday and not partially constructive. Fairly disappointed with the whole situation. Some gardening will help lift the spirits and there's some soil turning to be done.🙂
LB, answer on your question from yesterday, I don't joking, I really like visit my dentist. Weird isn't it.😁

Here is sunny and warm morning. My plan for today is go to cottage and finish few jobs before rain tomorrow. Hope it will come. But first of all, my tea.
I was sent (e-mailed) my notice letter yesterday telling me I finish on Friday . Contractually, they give me 7 days and the letter stated this and was dated last Friday. Fairly certain that they haven't done that right! Even though I can't wait to go, I'm tempted to kick up a fuss and insist that they pay me for next Monday
Was out sowing some seeds yesterday evening (another attempt to get some cornflowers and zinnia going) and spotted some leaf damage on a couple of plants in the back border that could well be vine weevil. Not happy!
On the plus side, think I've got enough fruit to put on my breakfast this morning

Good morning all. Cloudy here today and cooler so hoping to do some gardening. Work is starting to improve as staff return we are still waiting to see if our unpleasant senior will return she is due back next Monday, if not we can recruit someone else so fingers crossed.

Back from 'sco - which was its usual quiet early morning though the information desk was constantly asking over the tannoy for the owner of a red Toyota - quoting the number plate - to report to them. I have no idea what that was all about. It was raining when I walked back to the car and it is still. Light stuff but persistent.
Ante - in answer to YOUR question of this morning - yep! That is seriously weird.
Hazel, I am sorry that the specialist consultation was a bit disappointing. I'll be lucky to get into my garden today I think.
Ruby, like me, you will have been saved a big watering job today with the rain.
