Oh no @Ladybird4. It's one of the things I intend reading up on when I'm not working - I've had a few plants in pots fall victim to the dreaded vine weevil. I feel the need to become an expert on all the pests and diseases affecting the garden.

I probably will give Choisyas another try - I think it was a photo of yours that inspired me in the first place.

I do remember you commenting about my choisya at the time @Biglad. Signing out for tonight. See everyone tomorrow.
Glad it wasn't a major fault on the boiler @Busy-Lizzie.
Hope you are managing with your achey joints Hazel.

Good morning all. Curry was very pleasant last night but not looking forward to today in from 8.30 til 5.30. On top of that I have an hours travel both ways. We are so understaffed that head office has given permission for us to close for our lunch. To clarify we usually have 7-8 staff members and today there are 3 of us. This has been the situation through June and set to continue. We are all doing extra hours but that can only go on for so long before we are all exhausted. The heat isnโ€™t helping either. Itโ€™s not a job that can be rushed as a mistake could literally kill somebody. Feeling very stressed but trying to stay cheerful.ย
Hope you all have good gardening days today and anyone poorly feels better soon. Thinking of you all.ย
Going to jump in the shower now then check that nothing in the garden needs a drink before I go out.ย
    Roll on the weekend!ย

Good morning debs and all to follow.

Debs, I really hope that you will not have so stressful day at work. Sorry to hear that you are understaffed and it will continue. At least you enjoyed curry last night. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sunny morning with high wind, like few last days. Here is not hot, not even warm for our part of world. Very unusual. Last two days I had packed schedule with school, cottage and few deliveries, some for me, other for my neighbor. Today should arrive new drying machine, and it will be all for this month. We have huge problem with small flies, first time in my life I saw so many of them. They are everywhere, but at least they don't bite, just for now.ย
I'll finish my tea then must go. Wish you all lovely day, bit cooler I hope, and see you later.

Here is one lovely bud from my tree in front garden. Guess what it is.๐Ÿ˜

Good morning Debs, Ante and all arriving later. Ante, I think I know what your lovely tree is and I'll send a message with my answer in it. Well done to your football team who beat the Netherlands last night!
I am going to Bestie's today and I'm having my hair cut. It really needs it as it has grown so long. I think I'll go shorter this time.

Debs, your work situation sounds dire. You can only do so much in the time you are given so try not to stress too much. Keep thinking of your garden.
I hope your day runs smoothly too Ante.

    Good morning LB.

LB, I didn't even knew that yesterday was a game. I came home around 9pm from cottage, had shower and dinner, and went to bed.ย

I'm still waiting for the first class, but this time I'm at school. It's lovely when working place is only 300m from your house.ย ย

Afternoon all. I have had a good haircut and there was enough cut off to stuff a pillow - well a doll's cot pillow anyway.
Great to see you Hazel, hope that the typing wasn't too taxing for your hand.
Ruby, has the cat activity centre arrived yet. I bet the cats will really enjoy exploring it.
Rosie I love hydrangeas too. I am looking to buy my Bestie a pure white one (which she has long wanted) for her October birthday. I might order it now so she can decide where to plant it before Winter.
