Morning all.  LB thank you for the pic of your rescued hydrangea and you’ll look forward to seeing how it develops but looking good so far.  Topbird those f&c must have been welcome.  Thank you for the pics.  You probably both slept well after your endeavours.  Remember to do some stretching after cycling.  Hazel the snapdragon will be a nice addition to your garden.  Fell asleep on top of the bed last night.  Time for some tea.  Rosie. Ps lovely garden pics Busy.
Lovely and sunny morning, finally without wind. Sadly ladies, I didn't saw your advice yesterday and I done little bit too much at cottage. At least today I can rest. Also forgot to mention that summer holidays start at Wednesday for pupils. That means only paperwork for rest of us, but that's no problem. Now I'll join Rosie with cup of tea. Wish you all lovely Sunday.Â
A very good morning Rosie, Ante, one and all - both far and near. 02:37 I was awakened by a huge flash of lightning followed by a big roll of thunder. The lightning storm - with no more thunder - continued for well over an hour. I just could not get back to sleep. Just had a very welcome deluge of rain.
T'Bird, I'm impressed by the cycling prowess! That stone 'oval' is most impressive and on first viewing your pic I was immediately reminded of the jawbone of a T.Rex - the teeth protruding from the earth. Mind you, I would not have like to meet a dinosaur that size! The poppies on the hillside overlooking the harbour are absolutely stunning. Mine have been and gone. Thank you for sharing your T'Bird Travels with us.
Hazel, you are not on your own wondering where your energy has gone. I have felt quite sapped over these hot days. I don't mind it raining today but I do want a dry day on Wednesday as I have a planned trip to the National Memorial Arboretum. Snapdragons are such pretty cottage garden plants and the bees love them.
Ante, I do hope that you give yourself enough time to recover from the work you did yesterday as I know you will be busy from now on.
I've got my tea - nectar of the Gods! Cheers!

Good morning LB. I'm so glad that you finally have some rain. Hope that others have too. I'm finished with my tea, and I'll just sit on the balcony. It's Sunday and I can hear church bells, one thing which I like in the quiet Sunday morning.Â
Spectacular thunderstorms here overnight as well. With some much needed rain - hopefully the cracks will stop widening now! More forecast today but it looks glorious at the minute. Just catching up on GW before deciding what to do today.
Good morning, we’ve had some much needed and welcome rain through the night. Everything smells so fresh and the grass already looks happier. I don’t know if we had thunder with it or not, as I’ve slept through the rain. We are forecast thundery showers this afternoon so it’s a case of wait and see. We’ve had a busy week going out and about but yesterday I had time to tidy up the borders a bit more, taking away the browned leaves of the daffs and tulips and pulling out the odd weed, so it looks better already. Still more to do, but it’s a start. 🤞 the snap dragon likes its new home, Hazel; and the hydrangea looks nice and healthy LB. Take it easy today @Ante1 - don’t overdo things.
Morning all. We,too,, have had rain overnight and ,like Red Maple said, everywhere looks and feels fresher. Having said that, the sun is now blasting down so it will all be dried up again in no time. We will batten the hatches later today in readiness for the coming storm. Ive got Lily's TV on in the hope that I can hang some material from the string in the garden and get it dried. Plumber due tomorrow and now, on Tuesday, we have had to arrange for the house alarm chappie to come and reset our alarm. It lost its signal last week and we don't know how to rest it. Must ask him to show us ( again, but it's a digital one and quite complicated....) as it's useless if we can't control it ourselves. Later on Tuesday morning I am expecting the call from the GP surgery. Have a nice day everyone.
Its time for elevenses. Good morning all the later arrivals.
Goodness me Hazel but your next week's calendar is filling up all ready. It might be an idea to write down the reset instructions Hazel, as you say, its not much use if you cannot have it working.
