Lovely photos @Topbird. That village reminds me of a village near where my son used to live in the Loiret, France.

We have filled the garden bin with prunings etc, it won't be emptied until next Friday. We have also filled 3 big green sacks and been to empty them in the re-cycling centre.

Thank you LB and Ante. It'll be fine. I hope you have a good weekend Ante, it must be very unpleasant for you having all those flies everywhere.Good luck at the cottage. We are supposed to be getting thunder and lightening etc on Sunday, so we're all having a mixed bag of funny weather conditions.
Topbird, lovely pictures, Sweden sounds a great place and you'll both enjoy the cycling around and exploring. The tax returns sounds tedious, but they're all done now,,well done, and you can relax after all your hard work.
Im signing out for now, have a nice evening.

Well Ante, no spoilers for you (or anyone else who has missed GW tonight) but you are in for a treat. The programme dealt with two of my favourites - I'll say no more.
I am signing out for tonight so enjoy whats left of your evenings and I'll see you tomorrow.

  • Morning all.  Topbird thank you for the pics.  Have a lovely time.  Apparently it’s 22 degrees here according to the local weather so a Lille cooler and we’ve been promised a few days rain.  The newspapers are mentioning a hosepipe ban.  LB hope you had a better night.

Good morning Rosie and all to follow.

Rosie, I hope you will not have hosepipe ban. Have a nice day, hope not too hot.

LB, thank you for no spoilers. I'm looking forward this night to watch GW.

T'bird, nice to see you back. I thought about you few days ago because you wasn't around here a while. Very nice photos.

Sunny and windy morning. I'll go to cottage around 10am, and till that I can rest. It will not be hot day, but there is a warning about very high UV index, so I'll need to take suntan lotion with me. On today's schedule is earthing potatoes. It will not be finish all today. Now tea and balcony.

Wish you all nice day, possible with some rain.

A very good morning Rosie, Ante and all to follow.
Yes, Rosie, a wee bit cooler here too so I slept much better last night and I feel better for it too. I do hope that there isn't a hose pipe ban and I keep looking at my Katsura tree and wondering if it will shed its leaves early as it has done the last 3 years.
Ante, it is most sensible to protect yourself with suntan lotion. I make sure I am covered up whilst outside.

Good morning all. Off to work then babysitting Thomas overnight so have left plenty of food for assorted animals. Watered very thoroughly last night ( about all I did all day) and hoping for the forecast rain.
Lazy day yesterday as I am just exhausted with work and the heat.
Hope you all have a good weekend planned

    Good morning LB and debs.

LB, I learned my lesson about sun lotion on a hard way few years ago.

Debs, hope you will have an easy day at work. Have a nice time with Thomas.

    Morning all,

Yes - cricket was good @Ladybird4. I'll be going to a day of the Old Trafford test. Finally, got round to going to a test match so you can bank on rain that day!

I missed GW last night as I was at the church quiz. It seems to take place twice a year and eldest always insists that I'm part of her team of 6, so had to hotfoot it from my blood donation appointment. I walked in as the quizmaster was reading the first question - "What's the capital of Croatia?" - greeted my team-mates with "Zagreb" instead of the usual :D It was downhill all the way from there! 4th out of 17 teams was respectable but we decided we need somebody who can remember the 60s to get anywhere near some of the 'proper quizzers' that scoop the prizes (1st and 2nd).

Enjoy your travels @Topbird and keep those photos coming.
