The thunderstorms were forecast between 4-8pm. Hope they arrive right at the end of the slot like deliveries ;) At the moment - blue sky and baking sun!

@Biglad, I have just this minute heard a roll of thunder and the humidity is really oppressive. I'm not sure if any rain will arrive.
@rowlandscastle444 I laughed when I read your post about carpeting the walls of the garage.

@Ladybird4 The idea was suggested by a friend. It's saved the driver's door!!!

I think that is an excellent idea @rowlandscastle444. If I used my garage now I think I would be OK. My car has automatic 'buffers; that spring around all my car door edges  when they are opened and they retract when the doors are closed. Bit pointless on my drive but they are good in car parks.
I am signing out for tonight so I'll see you all in the morning. Hope Hazel's plumber isn't arriving too early tomorrow!

We’ve had bits of cloths, foam etc on our old garage walls which has saved many a mishap😱😂 I hasten to add that I rarely put the car in the garage😄😇😇
I hope not LB! Although, he hasn’t given a time so we’ll have to be up bright and early just in case😬
How is your back doing now? Still bothering you?

Our Virgin internet has predictably gone off. They'll be blaming electrical activity in the area. So no internet (got an alternative source for my laptop) = no TV and still no flaming rain!

Evening all,  Another major storm this evening (that's 3 nights in a row).  The drive back from Secondborn's was tricky, lots of local flooding and surface water.
@Songbird-2 I think the wrist is improving but I still can't do much without the wrist support.  Art in the morning and then another afternoon with the boys.

@Yviestevie, it's a pity you can't completely rest it for some days but life always gets in the way. Hopefully, from the sound of it, it could be starting to heal but not yet ready to fully support 'itself'. Fingers crossed for you-it is very restricting when hands, wrists, fingers don't work properly isn't it?
Rubee, how is your OH doing?
Im away for the night, Early start tomorrow, gawd.....night all.
  • Morning all.  A warm night, early start.

Snoopy Good Morning Happy Tuesday - good morning gift
Hello there Rosie. Did you have a better night last night - despite the heat? It was 26°C in my bedroom when I got up.
Hazel, my back is much improved thank you for asking. I am still being very careful with it though. New loo is definitely kinder on my back. Hope that your plumber isn't too early!
@Biglad my VM went off in the storm 2 days ago but it wasn't off for too long. I was getting ready to have a rant at them - got them on speed dial!
First big decision of today - do I go shopping or wait another day? Hmmm.
