Good morning @Busy-Lizzie. I am so sorry to hear of your OH's friends passing. Things like this make us very aware of our own mortality. I hope that many happy memories help to ease the sadness.

Morning all. Breezy again but the sun keeps popping out and then in again. We are popping to a garden centre this morning( I'm feeling much better today) as OH needs some new lawn edge loppers. He's been using his dads old ones for years now.
Glad to hear your OH ,Rubee, is  also feeling better.
Sorry to hear your sad news Busy.
  • Returned a parcel via the post office and had a look round.  Back to do some sorting and then to bed as I didn’t sleep last night.

Morning Rosie (I hope you are asleep as I type this!) I do hope that you get a really good rest through this afternoon.
I have just received a beautiful new rose called Ebb Tide. I cannot wait to see its flowers. It looks nice and healthy with some small buds already.

We've been to GC and got OH some new lawn edgers and he's tried them out. They are much better and as sharp as a razor. Next to get is a lawn mower with a grass cuttings box attached to it. Both will make life a little easier.
Have done some jobs inside, gently but I'm done for the day now. Daren't get my knitting needles out as they exacerbate my fingers and shoulder so will try and twiddle my thumbs for a while😬😂

I'm signing out for today. Hope @Ladybird4 is having a good time and will enjoy the night with friend from Crewe. Hope Rubee's OH is feeling okay today and that Rosie has caught up on some sleep.

    Good night @Songbird-2.
Didn't do any gardening today after yesterdays effort. Our shoulders knew we’d been busy cutting and hauling stuff about to get at the hedge, so we decided to take it easy today; so as the GC has an excellent cafe we popped there for some lunch, bought a couple more bags of compost and some plant supports then came home and generally relaxed. Will probably go back to some gardening tomorrow.
So lovely to have the sunshine back 😁.
  • Red Maple Sunshine here too.  I had to wait for the post office to open so went for a latte,  very creamy, lovely.  LB and Hazel just woken up but did manage to sleep thank you.   Still warm.

Hi folks, sorry I've been absent but Ive been a bit handicapped.  Whether it was the fall in the garden or cutting down some tree branches (next door neighbour was complaining about blossom on her patio) I seem to have damaged the tendons in my wrist.  I managed to get GP appt and now have to wear a splint on my right hand.  It's proving hard to type.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the wrist will improve in time for me to go on my painting holiday at the beginning of next month.  Hope everyone is OK.

Good morning all. Sorry to hear about the wrist @Yviestevie hope it improves soon. We have sunshine and I have a day off and no plans so it’s a gardening day!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend planned.
@Ladybird4 the senior isn’t exactly our boss but she does organise days off and sort the rota and should help with queries about holidays etc but the old one was useless and very patronising. Really didn’t pull her weight and made life harder.
