  • It feels like rain, rather overcast today, cooler.  Pottered this morning and then a visit.  May be some rain would be welcome followed by sunshine.

Dash it LB! Have just missed you there😂 We had room in the car too........
Recycling centre was busy today, normally it's quite quiet when we go but all of England and his brother seemed to be there...and no good manners  on show.  As we were walking from  our car to the skip area, plenty of people rushed past us and then cut right in front of us, despite our arms being full of heavy objects.
Town was very quiet so we made short shift of shop hopping and got back pretty quickly thankfully.
LB, hope your plants have come by now. What did you get?
Rosie, how is your dad doing? Better I hope.

    Good afternoon,
had a break from gardening duties today and went for a run out instead, making use of our English heritage cards. A lot cooler today, but it stayed fine, so being well wrapped up, it didn’t matter. Had lunch out, too, so no need to cook a meal this evening, just have something light later.
Yes, I hope your dad is improving Rosie.

Never mind Hazel, I'll catch you next time There are some very rude people around. Everyone seems to be in an all fired hurry these days. It can't be good for their blood pressure. I got another rose Hazel. A repeat of the one I gave to my brother because I saw it in full bloom in his garden last week and decided I would just have to have one. Its called Rhapsody in Blue. I gave it to him because he is an Everton supporter and they have blue kit.
That sounds most interesting Red maple. Where did you go and visit?
I am signing out for tonight. Enjoy your evenings and I'll see you all tomorrow.

Just googled your rose LB, looks lovely but is it purple? My poor old( new) rose has 2 buds on now but shows no sign of opening out. Need to be more patient.
Red Maple , do tell where you’ve visited as it sounds most mysterious 🙂 any pics?
Ante, can I have some of your rain please? In dire need of some.

I didn't do any painting today. I did weeding, last three beds. Now all the flower beds are weeded. CB called round to see what there is to do while I'm not here. OH has mowed.

Tomorrow morning we are going to the funeral of our friend who died last week.

Good morning all. Been super busy again at work and again I am doing extra hours so feeling tired and grumpy and looking forward to the weekend. Not making any plans I want time in my garden for my own sanity and the sake of some of the weedy beds.
Sorry to hear your news @Busy-Lizzie hope today isn’t too difficult.
Everyone take care and enjoy your gardens.

Good morning Debs and all later arrivals. Today is World Caring Day so it seems appropriate that we will be thinking about you and your friend today Busy. I hope the day is filled with happy memories despite the sombre occasion.
Debs, I do hope that you are not overdoing stuff at work. The weekend will soon be here and you can unwind.

Hazel, the rose starts off a deepish purple but it fades to a grayish mauve that looks very similar to a washed out denim blue. The one in my brother's garden is stunning at the moment.
