Good morning all. Just popping in as extra hours at work today. We are busy and understaffed and it’s all rather stressful but hoping for a lazy weekend in the garden, lots of little jobs to do out there. Hope you all have a good Friday

Good morning @Biglad. Glad you have enjoyed your golf. Will this be your last job - in favour of sporadic voting papers deliveries? I think we all (secretly) agree with you about a bit of Marti.
Bon voyage Busy and your OH.
I've been down the garden and into the GH where I notice I need to do more tying up of my tomato plants - they have grown enormous. Its handy brother's birthday today so must give him a call.

Good morning Rosie. Its a bit cool here but the sun is out and once it has dispelled last night's temperature drop I'm sure its going to be scorchio. I risked leaving the wet cloth things out last night and they will soon be bone dry.

Hello everyone. Have been to the hospital and had the steroid injection. Apparently it can take between 6-12 hours to work and then should offer six weeks relief...if it works. My inflammation markers showed a big spike last week so at least I feel vindicated  that I wasn't making it up. Have been really pleased to be dealt with by the hospital, the nurses are so nice and cheerful and helpful. They did say this condition can be aggravated by stress...so I need to reduce my stress levels. They have been rather high these last few weeks.
Popped into town on way home,it was quite busy, so didn't linger.
Now watching the tennis and enjoying it.

Hello from Dieppe Ferry port. The drive went smoothly, took 8 hours, including coffee, loo and lunch breaks. I'd made a chicken and vegetable quiche for dinner last night and there was enough for lunch today. OH said it was better than sandwiches. Crossing will take 4 hours then Hello England!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Hazel good to hear you’ve had the injection and been looked after by the nurses.  Hope very soon you’ll have some relief.  Thank goodness for the NHS.  Busy hope you have a smooth crossing.  I’ve been asleep for a few hours after lunch as rather awake through the night.  Thought I’d missed a day but thankfully still Friday.   Pasta bake for tea.  Rosie
