Yvie, glad to read you managed to get plenty done. I hope you were careful with your wrist. My sis is just having her front room decorated as the shower in their en suite develped a leak and made a mess of their ceiling. Having a house is like painting the Forth bridge - there is always something needs doing.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
No rain in Eastbourne but it has been cooler than yesterday.
We went out to lunch in a pub in Alfriston then went back to Eastbourne and had a quiet afternoon. We were all tired. The 2 grandchildren, took part in a triathlon yesterday. They are both very slim and sporty.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all.  Just watched a fascinating episode of who do you think you are with The actress Claire Foy.  A warm night, although rain forecast.  Time for some tea.  Yvie it’s good your hubby could sort the leak it will have given him a boost.  Rosie
Good morning everyone .It’s been a warm night . As Rosie says rain is forecast. I hope all those under the weather are feeling better and not suffering from the heat .I can hear thunder in the distance.I hope the rain comes .
Quick hello, and must dash. It's almost 8 o'clock. No rain here, just high wind. Hope it will stop till afternoon, because I want go to the cottage and finish some jobs.Â
Good morning Rosie, Ruby and Ante - another toasty day on the horizon. Gardening in the shade before noon feels on the cards. I will nip over the road to see Jack and take him some cake I've made for him and for his daughter.
I wish I could hear thunder again Ruby.

Good morning Yvie. They could be very battered this morning for sure. I often dread the Spring frosts when my camellia is in full glory as the next morning it can just look like the shrub has been hung with used teabags. Nature is unrelenting isn't it?
