Lovely loo @Ladybird4. Thunderstorm didnโt really amount to much in the end but we have rain. Been pouring down now for about half an hour just what the garden needs! Been a long busy week and next week looks similar and had a good few hours in the garden so having an early night. It will be lovely to lie in bed listening to cars swish past. Hope you have all had a good dayย
It is always the cars swishing in the lane that let me know its been raining whilst I'm in bed and in the Winter when we have snow it is the 'almost silence' of the traffic. I might watch a bit of the football later - if I can stay awake but I'm signing out for tonight. Enjoy your evenings everyone.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Evening all,ย Ive had a busy few days looking after the boys and doing bits of gardening.ย Wrist still painful but the splint does help.ย We have lots of rain this evening after a very hot day so I'm sure the garden will appreciate it.ย Sorry its a short post but typing is still proving to be awkward. Hope everyone is OK
Last few days were quite busy, and weather was also very moody. Yesterday I came home completely wet after sudden storm with rain and wind. At least I got free shower.๐ Two days ago I was at shopping and in the GC. Just few extra things ended in my basket.ย Yesterday I saw that elderflower is in bloom, and this year I'll try to make wine from flowers.ย Now is time for cup of tea and make plans for an easy Sunday.
My sister's lunch until evening party went very well. There were friends and family of all ages. My sister is very sociable, God knows what would have happened if it had rained! It was hot and sunny so all those who could stand the heat were outside. There were two tent gazebo things and a big umbrella for shade. She'd made an enormous amount of veggie food, 2 huge pavlovas and the biggest cream and strawberry filled Victoria sponge cake that I've ever seen! Other people brought desserts too. I knew a lot of them especially cousins, nieces and nephews, also a couple of her horse riding friends and old school friends. I hadn't seen the school friends since we were in our teens. We have all grown older and fatter but I still recognised them!
I think we are going out today with OH's family, don't know where yet.
LB your cacti are amazing!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

LB, do you even need to ask. ๐ I bought just few petunias, marigolds and few seeds for autumn. Meant to say how lovely your cacti are.
Debs, have a nice time in the garden. Hope the rain will not interrupt your plans.ย
