I had a very busy day in the garden yesterday. Bit stiff this morning. Most of my new plants are planted and a good bit of the veg garden is ready to plant and sow.
I am taking the car to have its winter tyres changed back to summer ones this morning.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning Rosie, Debs and Busy. Gosh Debs, sunburn! That is a good hint to everyone to make sure that they have sunscreen on. I see that there is a movement to remove the VAT on sunscreens - which are classified as 'cosmetics' at the moment. Sounds like a good idea to me.
Well done Busy - all the numerous plants you have bought recently would make for a major 'planting out' session so pace yourself. Hope that the tyre changes go smoothly.

Good morning everyone.I haven’t read back . I hope everyone is in a gardening mood . It’s a lovely morning here .Waiting for district nurse .I hope OH leg is a bit better today. Enjoy your day folks .
@Ladybird4 I am quite olive skinned so don’t usually burn but obviously the day in Liverpool then hours in the garden yesterday was the issue. Must remember to squirt my shoulders! I swear by dermacool for sunburn always helps me.Â
Sunny here. Â I fell asleep for a few hours. Â LB I hope your back is easing. Â Debs Graham will be enjoying the garden. Â Hazel I was wearing a cardigan today. Â
It has been sunny here today too Rosie. I am CAUTIOUSLY reporting a slight improvement in my back (don't want to put the kiss of death on it). It has been 3 weeks since I have been able to sit down in any comfort and sometimes the pain has been so extreme that I have had to stand perfectly still - like playing statues in the playground when I was at school. I will see what tomorrow brings but I am longing to get out into my garden which, like Hazel's has suddenly erupted into growth.

Debs, so pleased you have had a good break away and good luck to your fiancé today for starting work again.... with, I hope,  some good changes to suit him. Enjoy work and the retelling of holiday tales.  Graham will be enjoying all his freedom too.
Busy, busy as ever and what a lot of gardening you did yesterday. Hope you don't suffer too much today, we did the day after we spent a lot of time gardening and going on all in one day the other day.Â
Rubee, all the best this morning to your OH. I'm praying his legs will have improved.
@star gaze lily, lovely to see you and hope you get someone to get the grass cut for the first time. Our grass was really long when we cut it a few days ago, it seems to be growing at a rate of knots lately. It already looks like another cut after only a few days. My mother has someone who comes in and cuts it weekly during the summer. Mind you, her grass is like a Moss Mat, not grass at all. It must be a good four/five inches thick with the stuff. Nice and spongy underfoot.😬
